Shawn parked his heavy bike in the garage and got off while pulling off the helmet. He grabbed the shopping bags hanging on it when his phone started buzzing.
"What's up man?" Zayn said as soon as Shawn picked up his phone.
"Do you know you fucked up my morning?" Shawn snapped, fitting the phone between his ear and shoulder, so that he could grab the bags in both hands.
"Come on you were already fucked up, don't put blame on me." Zayn said playfully.
"I'm no kidding, you know she burst into my house and attacked Camila. I didn't wanna hurt her but she was hurting that harmless girl, I had to push her outside my house." Shawn told him.
"Really!! She needs a mental therapy...I would be careful next time. Your girl's name is nice by the way."
"O please zayn just tell me what you called for, I'm busy right now." He said entering the elevator.
"Why you busy man? I'm in a local club just come and have some fun."
"I can't..I mean I can't leave Camila alone in the apartment at night."
"Dude you're already acting like a husband. Tomorrow night there's a party at Josh's house, I'll see you there and do bring your girlfriend with you."
"She's not my girlfriend and I would see about that." Shawn said firmly pressing the bell ring. He already had texted Camila when he reached at the parking lot.
"I'm not asking you I'm telling you, bring your girl with you, if you don't wanna leave her alone." Zayn said shutting off the call.
Camila looked through the hole in the door to see Shawn outside and opened it for him.
"You said you'll come back in evening but it's dark outside." She complained as soon as he entered.
"I'm sorry, I had to do shopping for you and got late." He said handing her the shopping bags.
"For me?" She asked frowning slightly opening the one bag to see what was in it. "How did you know my size." She asked following him as Shawn walked towards the kitchen and put the other bag on counter in which he brought food from the restaurant for their dinner.
"I didn't know." He said grabbing a water bottle from fridge. "Atleast they'll be better than my clothes." He chugged the water watching her examining the bags.
"Now go change and come for dinner." He told her and she went in the room. After 20 minutes she came wearing a cute floral top and comfortable leggings.
"How do I look?" She said making a round.
"Umm fine I guess." He said trying to annoy her.
"Fine you mean i don't look good?"
"I was kidding you look so pretty and cute." He spilled the truth with a chuckle.
"Well no thanks I know I look good." She said as her cheeks turned red with a blush. Her heart skipped a beat to see him chuckling. She found him the most attractive and beautiful person on earth.
"Ok now come and eat before the food gets cold." He offered and she sit there to eat with him.
"You've a good taste in clothes by the way." She told him.
"Yeah I know."
"How do you know? I mean who told you before?" The thought of him buying dresses to other girls stung her in heart.
"I know because I always wear good clothes and look good. Almost everyone told me that." He said confidently and she took a sigh of relief.
"No I mean you've a good taste in female clothes, Like this floral shirt is so beautiful..I really love dresses like these." She said.
"My mom also used to like these kinda dresses. She loved flowers. Our whole house used to be decorated with things having flower patterns on them." He told her, didn't know what makes her so close to him that he told her things which he usually avoided to talk about.
"Shawn." She said noticing the silence formed for few minutes. Shawn looked up at her. "Did you ever go back to see your mom again?" She asked.
"Yes." He said with the sadness and grief visible in his expression. "When I was 18 I missed her so much, I thought about what it would be like to celebrate my 18th birthday with my mom, would she be happy to see me again, did she miss me?" He sighed. "So I went to my..I mean my step father's home. I saw her from afar getting into the car. She was happy with her daughter and husband and I didn't wanna take that away. So I just came back."
"She has a daughter, means you've a sister Shawn?"
"Step sister." He corrected.
"But still she's your sister, you should've talked to your mom, maybe sh-"
"It didn't matter Camila, there was no way of me going back."
"But still she would be happy to see you."
"I think that's enough we shouldn't be talking about my mother..now finish your food." He said rigidly. Camila knowing he didn't wanna talk, went quiet.
"Tomorrow my friend wanted to see me so he invited me to a party and you'll b going with me coz I don't wanna leave you here for the whole night." He announced.
"Your friend?" She was worried now.
"Yes don't worry I'll remain by your side the whole night." He said and she didn't say anything.
After finishing their food, Camila left to sleep in his bedroom while he prepared the couch, when Hannah texted him.
Shawn I'm in Toronto and I wanna meet you tomorrow at any coffee shop you choose- Hannah
Shawn read the text and thought for a minute that If he could trust her or not. Knowing her from his previous mission, she was a good person.
