Chapter 21: What Do We Do Now?

Ochaco POV

I open Izuku's door and bring in a tray with a bowl of cold water and a towel. I bring over Izuku's desk chair towards his bed and sit with the tray in my lap. I had been a couple hours since Iida and Izuku's fight, and Izuku remained unconscious, now laying in his bed.

Thankfully Bakugo and I were able to carry him to his room, yelling at anyone to shut up if they had asked what was wrong with him. I fold the towel and place it in the cold water for a second before wringing it out and placing the cold towel on Izuku's forehead where the knot was.

I brush his hair out from his eyes and sigh. How does he always manage to get himself into these situations? It's not entirely his fault though. We didn't tell Iida and he was our best friend. While I'm furious that Iida went about it the way he did... He had a right to be upset. From what Bakugo had told me (which wasn't much), Iida was mad that Izuku had told others other than him. I'm assuming Kirishima was one of them, Kirishima found out after the Overhaul mission. I'm assuming Kaminari too, which I picked up on from the clothes Izuku was wearing for our date.

I'm guilty of it too. I had told most of the girls I was going on a date and of course they were able to piece together who it was. Basically Iida was one of the few who DIDN'T know. I would've felt left out too, not being told something as important as that while other people were told. I feel left out from Izuku keeping secrets about his quirk...

I sigh. Now's not the time to be worried about that. I hear a knock at the door. I get up and walk towards the door. I debate whether to open it or not. What if it's Iida? I would probably scream at him, I'm still upset he didn't stop when I called out to him or when he noticed Izuku wasn't okay.

I take a deep breath and open the door. Mina and Tsu-chan are there.

"O-Oh... hey guys. What's up?" I ask sighing a little bit, thankful it wasn't Iida.

"Hey, can we come in?" Mina asked. It wasn't my room but I was sure Izuku wouldn't have minded. I let them in and close the door behind them. They walk towards the bed and stare at Izuku while I find my place back in the seat next to the bed.

"Are you sure he shouldn't go to the nurses office?" Tsu-Chan asks, holding a finger to her chin. I shake my head.

"Izuku already got in trouble once with unauthorized fights. Bakugo and him have permission to fight but..." I trail off. They don't know who Izuku fought, however...

"Iida did this, didn't he?" Mina asked solemnly. I nod. Of course she would know, she saw him this morning.

"Izuku was already injured. Bakugo said he landed wrong when they were sparring. I'm not sure if Iida didn't notice or what but he challenged Izuku and well... yea." I said looking at Izuku's head.

"But why was he so mad! It wasn't really his business!" Mina said.

"He was upset we didn't tell him but told others, though everyone who does know found out in unconventional ways..." I said though I wanted to tell Mina she was kind of a hypocrite in that regard. This wasn't the time to be spiteful though. I could really use the comfort right now.

"I can see why he's upset, ribbit." Tsu-Chan said. "Izuku is his best friend. He kepts it from him but told others. He shouldn't have gone that far though. That's just from Iida's point of view not mine."

I gave Tsu-Chan a look before that last part. I sigh.

"So what are you going to do from here?" Mina asks, I shook my head. As much as i would want to yell and slap Iida, I need to wait for Izuku to wake up.

"Me and Izuku will need to talk about it. Don't go talking about this to anyone who saw, or anyone at all okay? I don't wanna get Iida in trouble." I tell the two. They nod and start to walk towards the door.
