The sky was dark and grey for a morning rush, the storm clouds still hovering over the land of Sapporo. Fog and mist had covered the docks during the busy time. Crowds of people were rushing towards the Sapporo docks, waves of now homeless, scared, and desperate people rushing to get to the safety of the mainland. Forcing guards back, pushing past the body count limit of ships. Everyone screamed similar things after the horde of Nomu:

"Let us through!"

"Those things could come back any moment!"

"Those heroes couldn't do anything to protect our homes! Take us to safety!"

"Please let us get away from here!"

"Help us!"

Children cried next to their parents, wondering why they couldn't return back home, parents trying to comfort their children all the same. Others looked lifeless, as if some of their family had been taken, or lost forever, the hollowness in their eyes almost contagious to those who looked into them.

Four teenagers watched from the outskirts, hoods from hoodies or cloaks over their heads with makeshift bandages around their bodies, the same hollow gleam showing in their eyes. More than the feeling of loss were in those hollow eyes, but the feeling of failure and guilt showing in their dullness.

"Guys!" A voice called out to them. Slowly, Ochaco, Bakugo, Eri, and Hima all floated down safely behind them.

"Put your hoods up," Todoroki said turning towards them, along with the other three. "If they see we're trainee heroes, the people will probably riot or force us off the boat."

Ochaco sighed as she lifelessly put her hood up, along with Bakugo agitatedly. The group nodded in unison as they made their way towards the crowds of people in order to grab a seat on the next fairy back to the mainland home. Ochaco caught the glimpses of the empty and scared eyes as they pushed through the crowds as best they could, trying to get a spot on one of the ships. Ochaco felt her spirit fall even more.

The faces of happiness, the people who had come to Sapporo for a happy trip, or coming to visit families. The faces of the happy people they saw when Izuku and herself first arrived on the shipping docks, were now faces of people desperately trying to get away. Through the mist, Ochaco spotted the trash she had thrown up into when they had first arrived. She couldn't help but frown at the sight, remembering the circles Izuku had been making with his hand on her back to try and soothe her as she puked. He had been making fun of her with Eri when they had first arrived. She remembered being so upset... Now she could only wish he were here to tease her more.

Just barely had the group made it onboard the ship before the platform had started raising, denying exit to the rest of the people, screams of protest coming from below back on the docks. Ochaco and the rest stared down from the crowded railings, listening to the horrors below.

"DON'T LEAVE US!"

"TAKE US WITH YOU! WE CAN'T JUST SIT AND WAIT FOR MORE OF THOSE THINGS!"

"PLEASE WE'RE BEGGING YOU!"

"OUR KIDS, TAKE THEM! WE'LL MEET THEM THERE ON THE NEXT BOAT! JUST PLEASE TAKE THEM!"

Momo put a hand to her mouth as tears rolled down her cheek. Kirishima and Mina stared down at their feet, faces unable to be seen under the hoods. Ochaco stood staring down with empty eyes. The screams were surrounding her, all directed at her and her alone. Eri and Hima looked at each other as they took their hands, choosing to sit against the small wall of the boat not wanting to get in the way of the overcrowded space. As the ship pulled away from the dock, the screams of the crowds grew quieter and quieter, though the effect on the group remained the same.
