Chapter 37: Eri's Quirk Practice

Gas Lighter looked around a the faces around him. The purple cloud man had followed him to the wreckage of a house down the mountain shortly after Lighter had arrived. There was a lizard looking man, a badly burned and sowed together black coated man, a girl, a magician, and a man with a black mask that seemed to be talking to himself.

"Spinner, get this man bandaged up." Kurogiri said to the Lizard man. The man named spinner looked confused, as did the rest of the members.

"This is the plan? To have this random guy help us?" Dabi asked, staring Lighter down. Lighter stared into those cold icy eyes. They were different than Lighters scattered eyes. That man had a goal.

"Can I cut him?" Toga asked, twisting a knife between her fingers? "I wanna taste what his blood is like..."

"I think he'll make a great edition! Why help this guy?" Twice asked both questions.

"Spinner. Medical attention please." Kurogiri  stated again. Spinner, begrudgingly, moved to accommodate Lighter, who hadn't said a word.

"Our guest here has decided that he would like to take down hero society along with us. Shigaraki has entrusted him leading our charge against the heroes. Shigaraki would be joining us... however as you know..."

Suddenly, as if perfectly on que a booming roar, multiple crashes of avalanches and other sounds of destruction could be heard from the top of the mountain. The vibrations carried down the mountain, shaking the house.

"He's dealing with something at the moment..." Kurogiri finished.

"Why..." Lighter asked, everyone turning towards him. "Why ask me to lead... I know very well that you guys don't intend to keep me around. Don't play like you're requesting to follow me. I may not be the brightest but I understand that much. Be honest..."

Lighter looked towards Kurogiri as Spinner bandaged his arms.

"Why did you bring me here?"

Lighter stared at Kurogiri with an intense look. Kurogiri sighed.

"Shigaraki wishes to take down the hero society same as you, he believes its faulted. It doesn't have to do with quirks or your honestly petty reasons, however the goals align. Skigaraki needs time to prepare, that battle you hear is one of them. You're a tool to say the least."

"Oi, you're just gonna tell him that?" Spinner asked, slowing down his work a bit, expecting Lighter to pull away, however Lighter stayed where he was.

"I'll be able to take down Midoriya, Izuku and the hero agencies right?" Lighter asked, staring into Kurogiris yellow eyes.

"If you hold your own weight and allow us to guide you. Then if you succeed, yes you will."

Lighter smiled eerily.

"Then I don't care what happens to me. I don't care if you kill me afterwards. Just let feel Midoriya's blood on my hands...."

Ochaco soared through the sky between buildings, wearing her hero outfit, using her new grappling hooks to guide her through the air. She flew and landed on the top of a building near the burned down building from the picture.

This is where Gas Lighter was last seen before his trail went off the grid. Ochaco jumped off the building, activating her zero gravity and started following the trail Gas Lighter had left behind.

Bakugo, Ausui, Kirishima, and Ochaco were the first students chosen for the Location Mission for Gas Lighter. Each were given free reign of the city for investigation, though there wasn't much to go on based on the information they had...
