The days at Hogwarts seemed to pass slower than usual. Everything merged together into one long endless day of studying and revising for the upcoming exams. The only light that they could currently see, was the upcoming party to celebrate the end of the exams and Quidditch, of course. But even that turned out to be more and more difficult, as they had to learn more and more. Besides Training and learning, Regulus didn't have much time to do anything else.Additionally more and more death eater attacks happened. He read every article and kept them in a small journal, he already had quite a collection. Nothing mattered as much to him as to finally be able to join them. Their ideals overlapped with the ones his family preached to him ever since he was little: Magical earning should be kept within magical families only, in other words; Purebloods. He shared their beliefs. Of course he did, they were his family, he loved them.
His head was pounding from reading all day. The potion exam was upcoming next week and it was the only subject he just couldn't get in his head. He just didn't see the point in knowing how to brew something, when he could just buy it, in his eyes it was completely unnecessary and a waste of his time. Moreover the Quidditch season came up and his training intensified drastically, being the seeker of the Slytherin Team gave him a lot of responsibility. No matter what he did or what he devoted himself into, he always gives his all.
The last week before the exams passed even slower and one could almost feel the tension and pressure everyone was under. Even the Quidditch Training couldn't take his mind completely off of the upcoming exam. Back in the Slytherin common room he saw Estelle giving the mudblood Nesrin extra help and notes for potion, while they were preoccupied by some first years, who started a fight, he went over to their table and slipped the notes in his robes. Losing the notes was the worst that could've happened to Estelle. She looked through all of her papers, books and bag multiple times, but they were gone. Not that she couldn't write the exam without them, but she did them explicitly for Nesrin, who needed them desperately, explaining everything from scratch and going into immense detail.
"Estelle, it's okay. I'm sure I can figure it out without them as well."
"But who took them?"
"Maybe you just lost them?"
"You know me, I never loose anything."
It was the day of the exam and the Quidditch game of Ravenclaw against Slytherin. Regulus only had to look over the notes once, in order to memorize them. He was born with an eidetic memory, so all he could do now was to hope that, the exam wouldn't include a practical task. No matter how good he memorized the potion, he just wasn't talented in brewing. Of course he was wrong and had to brew during the exam. He wouldn't have needed to know anything about potions to see that, whatever he did, even though he followed the instructions, was wrong. The great hall was filled with students and he could see Estelles blond hair through the thick blue smoke of her potion, while his one was a watery green, not producing any smoke.
"Nesrin! How was it? I couldn't see you from across the room." Estelle asked her friend breathless, hurrying towards the Quidditch Pitch.
"It was okay, I think. I saw yours and my smoke wasn't nearly as thick or opaque, but at least it was blue."
They were already halfway there, when Sirius, James, Lily and Remus met them. Estelle has only met Remus before a couple of times, because he was just like her; quite a loner. Sirius threw his arm around Nesrins shoulder and gave her a kiss on the forehead, she blushed a bit and gave him a loving smile.
"How was it?"
Their conversation carried on all of the way and Estelle even had a short conversation with Remus. She didn't knew him long enough to have a solid opinion on him yet, but he told her quite a bit about dark magical creatures and Defense Against the Dark Arts, surprisingly she thought that it was somewhat interesting. They found a nice spot, quite far up, where they had an incredible look on the pitch. The players entered and Estelle scanned them quickly looking for Regulus.
