"I have no idea..let's just get this stupid assignment done" Eli walks away

"We're not done talking about this Eli." I chase after him.

We arrive at the schools garden farm in complete science, Eli is clenching the papers making them wrinkly.

"Eli hand me the papers" I extend my hand out

"No" He refuses

"Why not?" I ask Eli

"Why do you want them?" He argues

We start bickering at one another, soon he pulls out the ziplock bags out of his back pocket our professor gave us with our hall passes.

"Here collect something" Eli hands me a ziplock bag

"Okay" I respond

I bend down on my knees to scoop the soil from the plants laying on the palette. I feel a presence behind me causing my view to get darker since the gloomy sky wasn't doing much justice.

I get up to reveal it be Eli.

"Jeez you scared me" I placed my hand on my chest

Eli and I's faces are inches apart from each other with the tips of our shoes touching

"Sorry" Eli smirks

I noticed i'm smiling in admiration towards him, Oh god what am I thinking? He's Eli "Hawk" Moskowitz

"What's that smile about?" Eli asks making me break the daze I had

"Hm? What? Oh no no nothing hah" I nervously laugh rubbing my arm which is something I tend to do when i'm a nervous wreck

"Oh come on Mia Rea, don't act like I don't know you..I know about Demetri" His face turned serious

"What?" My stomach felt like it just turned

"Don't act dumb Rea, I know about your crush on that nerd" He remarks

"Don't talk about him like that, he's our friend" I defend Demetri

"He's your little crush, who's gonna break that little heart of yours." He smiled with his confidence

"If you haven't noticed, little Demetri is wrapped around Yasmins finger" His pointed finger is in my face

"God you're such a jerk" I shoulder-check Eli

I hear his stupid little laugh while I walk through the doors of the school into the nearest bathroom.

I walk in to check my phone and have Miguel send me a snap while I want to text Moon if she can meet me but she cares about class so I decide to just freshen up quickly.

I wash my hands and fix my hair while I try to group my emotions back up together before I have to face Eli once again.

I close the faucet and grab some towels to dry my hands off, I roll the paper up and drop it at the trash bin. I walk out the restroom to have Eli waiting by the lockers for me.
