"Now it's just a waiting game till the night" Eli says throwing in the last bag into the house from the porch
"Right waiting game" I whisper while admiring the house and it's high ceilings.
"Ima go outside for some air" Eli said walking out the front door
I decide to head to the kitchen even though we had just ate, a cup of hot cocoa wouldn't hurt no one. I head to the kitchen grabbing a pot and turning on the fire. I walk into the pantry filled with goodies, snacks, all vegan of course due to Moons dietary restrictions. I grab the cocoa powder on the high shelf. I mix every ingredient slowly string the milk with the powder. After about 10 minutes Eli still hasn't come inside the cabin, I keep string the lukewarm milk until it hits me.
"Marshmallows" I get the idea and walk back into the pantry seeking for some marshmallows
No luck in finding marshmallows in the pantry filled with every type of goodie besides marshmallows the most important essential when it comes to hot cocoa.
I walk back into the kitchen closing the pantry door to fetch Eli who is still outside in the cold.
"Hey Eli can you go to the small market down the hill"
"Dude she won't fi- I got to go" Eli shuts his phone down quickly placing it in his jeans pocket
"What's up?" Eli continues
"Who was that ahah" I laugh
"Demetri.. Something for Yas" Eli places his hand over his neck scratching it
"Oh well can you go?" I hand him the money folded
"Yea what do you need?" Eli grabs the bills
"Marshmallows i'm making cocoa but Moon doesn't seem to have any" I point to the door with my thumb indicating the kitchen
"Ah right okay well I'll be back soon" Eli steps out
"What did D get Yas?" I ask as Eli is walking away
"I guess you'll just have to wait" He laughs while smirking as he opens the door to his car
Eli gets in his car and drives off the hill onto the road. I get back inside after watching him drive off, I walk back into the kitchen turning the stove on low and cleaning up the bit of mess I had made in the process of making the cocoa.
I get all the dishes clean and place them in the drying rack. I decide to go upstairs to check out the many rooms all over the second floor. The house is a bit creeky as I take light steps. It's so quiet in the house I can hear my own breathing, with the house being surrounded by huge windows that you can see outside. The second floor window has the perfect view of the outside, green tall trees covered with falling snow. Snow absorbs sounds with the thin walls in the cabin it gives it a more of an advantage for it to be quiet loud. Since the walls are a bit thin it's pretty chilly in here.
After admiring the top floor I seen enter an outstanding huge room with a huge bed with white puffy sheets and a bunch of pillows laying neatly. On the side of the bed was a night stand with a lamp to the right of the nightstand was a jensen white chair sitting. The ceiling of the room was slanted at an angel giving the room more of a cabin look. As I run my finger on the bedding I take a seat on the bed and i'm facing a black chimney with wood in it waiting for it to be turned on.
I lay down on the bed letting my legs dangle while I stare at the ceiling reminiscing on memories with Eli. Oh how much I like him, every time I see his face my heart jumps. Every time he drives I could only admire his hands filled with veins tracing up to his arms. His ridiculous yet hot hair standing tall which intimidates some but not all. When he pressed the gas on the car his hands tighten the wheel which makes his veins stand out even more than they already do.
"Boo" Moon jumps into the room from the hallway
"Jeez you scared the living soul out of me" I get up quickly from the bed
"Sorry not sorry, how was your trip up here" Moon walks towards me sitting down on the bed next to me
"Eh could have been a lot faster" I smile
"Tell me about it none of these little shits would shut up" Moon laughs placing her head on my shoulder
"Ahah" I lightly laugh at Moons language
"What's up here" Moon moves my hair from my face tucking it behind my ear
"Nothing" I turn my head to head giving her a mischievous smile
"Lying through your pretty teeth" Moon smiles beautifully
"Eli" I sigh
"Hit me" Moon adjusts her posture signaling she's ready to listen
"He's just so ugh" I lay down on the bed as before letting my feet dangle
"I 100% understood that" Moon laughs
"He's just so confusing, I want to tell him how I feel like this morning when we were eating this waitress mistaken us for a couple and he did not stop he as in matter of fact he went along with it" I turn my body towards her as she mirrors me
"Well someone's got a little crush on you don't they" Moon smirks
"Gosh don't give me any false hope the last thing I truly need right now is a heartbreak" I nervously laugh even thinking about that
"You know...From what I heard he's a helpless romantic" Moon bends her elbow making it a small pillow for her head
"Two negative do make a positive don't they?"
"Miguel the fighter, Moon the hippie" Moon exclaims
"Maybe he's your perfect imperfection"
"I was looking all over for you" Eli walks into the room making Moon and I get up quickly from the bed fixing ourselves
"Got you what you wanted" Eli raises the bag of marshmallows
"Thanks" I walk towards Eli grabbing the bag of marshmallows
"Hey why don't you ever shut the fuck up!" Eli, Moon and I look at each other confusedly exhausted knowing another argument is about to breakout with us being here less than 24 hours
"Why can't we all just get along for once" Moon says annoyed walking out the room as Eli and I follow behind
