"Didn't know you were that into cars working at a car shop" I'm surprised at Eli's hobbies other than punching every kid in the hallway

"Let me explain" Eli smiles

"Oh i'm definitely here for this" I adjust my seating and get comfortable for whatever it maybe to come my way

"Right" Eli giggles adjusting his arm around my shoulder even more with our bodies now facing each other

"So Demetri has this cousin his name is Angus cool dude, introduced me to cars back in 8th grade. Got attached and well it's something I like other than kicking ass" Eli explains while he had this look of admiration through the view talking about his likes

"Angus, I wouldn't be surprised if Demetri's family named someone Angus." I laugh knowing how the bar is so low in Demetris family name tree

"I'm telling you this dude is tatted up, buffed up, has been in and out of jail" Eli laughs at the face that what he just described was no one near Demetris family member

"Pretty..pretty interesting to me, how different people can be but be related by something or someone" I tell Eli as we make some bittersweet eye contact

Something is off with Eli, can't tell if it's good or not. But something is for sure off with Eli, he was blankly looking at me with his eyes. Although he held a smile up, I sure knew it wasn't a genuine one. Eli was good at hiding his emotions, but closing a door sometimes opened a window. Those windows for him ended up being his eyes, the blueness in them told stories he'd never dare to say. The most interesting thing about learning something about someone or getting to meet a stranger is noticing the things that are not being said..which is a lot about Eli.

"What's your favorite movie" I break the eye contact trying to make something random to keep the tempo of us up

"The Divergent series" Eli takes a moment to think about the question soon to answer it

"Remember Me" I say with no hesitation knowing it's such a cliché movie but you can't blame me that movie is a good cry on a Friday night

"That movie with the god awful ending?" Eli says offended

"That movie is like the down fall of every possible romantic stupid movie" Eli explains heavily mad at the thought of a movie

"So is this you admitting you've watched it?" I try to trap Eli in a web of his sugar coated confession

"No...sh- I was forced for fuck sakes" Eli stutters yet continues to whine his way out of this or at least attempted to which definitely won't work

"Oh come on, you liked it but you just won't admit to it." I try to easily convince Eli how good the film was about such a beautifully tragic story

"A guy who is misunderstood thinks no one will understand him until he met this girl who "heals" him into thinking he can actually feel something more than nothing something came along and ruined it" Eli emotionless explains the plot of the film in the worst possible way making it seem as some burden of a movie

"Well when you say it like that it's no fun..but I bet you cried" I cheer up the conversation up again after he slowly killed it when he explained the plot as something boring

"I'll let you have your imagination princess" Oh here comes the knot again in the pit of my stomach, any word that comes out of his mouth dedicated towards me makes me weak to my knees. Helplessly I sit there in the comfort of my own feelings for him, I get hit with the realization today, as of now I somehow have to confess my feelings..

"Favorite music" Eli says disturbing the thoughts I was having trying to find and build the courage to confess my feelings

"Laugh all you want but, Hozier" I confidently say my answer with no hesitation

"Guns n Roses" without stalling he spits his answer out

"We're almost here" I dangle my feet down seeing the view from above of everyone that was in front of us jump off their lift onto the wooden path leading to the maze surrounded by huge pine trees pointing towards the sky with white snow laying on them

After waiting a couple of more seconds we see Sam and Chris hop of their lift being greeted by everyone else in the gang. Soon it was our turn to jump off and head onto the maze getting ready to get lost and somehow find a way to confess these feelings of mine to Eli.

"Pretty dope ride wasnt it?" Demetri approached Eli and I with Bert on his side standing quiet

"What up with Bert?" Eli points at Bert

"Oh he lost a bet so he can't speak for the rest of the maze or else" Demetri stops at the end of his sentence making it a sentence cliffhanger

"Or else?" Eli and I both say at the same time when suddenly quickly he says

"Jinx you owe me a coke" Eli's voice was filled with excitement

"But I sa-" Demetri soon interrupts me which is not that surprising knowing Demetris only personality trait is being a interrupter

"No, no, no, no talking! Mia is not allowed to talk until after she buys Hawk a coke. Those are the rules of jinx!" Demetri shrugs his shoulder as Eli leaned in and have a full body bro hug for defending his "honor"

Helpless and getting the privilege of speeding freely was snatched away from me was unbelievably the uncoolest thing Demetri let alone Eli do to me

I point confusedly at the surrounding areas of us noticing there is no vending machines or mini markets where I can get a coke for Eli in order to defeat the rules of jinx. Which in fact is being placed by some junior high schools trying to pass up time.

"Hey guys remember to get into your groups we are all gonna go in at the same time but different directions" Moon comes up to us and giving us directions

"How long is the maze Moon" Demetri asks Moon yet looking at me

"3 miles but depends on your maze skills" Moon smiles answering Demetri's question

"3 miles of no talking" Eli says in my face showing off

This is gonna be one silent heck of a maze.
