Eli pulls into the parking lot at Teddy's. The beautiful cabin looking small owned restaurant was empty as we walked in a bell rang from the top of the door, letting the cook and waitress their is a customer. Eli and I take a seat at a empty table near the kitchen getting the wiff of fresh breakfast and coffee. A older lady comes up to us handing both of us menus.
"Can I get you started with anything to drink?" The lady smiles getting her notepad and pen ready
"I'll have a Strawberry Lemonade please" I open the menu
"Black coffee would be great ma'am" Eli says handing her the menu
"Sure thing hun, you ain't gonna take a look at the menu" She has a questionable look on her face
"Waffles with whip cream will do" Feeling under pressure Eli looks at me as if i'm ready to order
"How's the, french toast with strawberries and blueberries" I ask looking up from the menu
"Freshly made with only the best fruits and cook in town" The lady winks giggling leaning in
"Cant wait" I smile at her
"Be right up" the lady walks away into the back
"Excited?" I ask crossing my arms leaning back on my chair
"Very much so to be honest, the dates later won't be easy to escape Mia" Remembering of how my group lost to the bet realizing a long night awaits for us
"Right..dares, blackmailing doesn't seem so illegal now" I laugh
"Nice one but there is no getting out of this" Eli smirks leaning forward on the table
The lady came back and placed our cup filled with our drinks on the table walking away leaving her scent of baked goods in our presence.
"Did you get the gift exchange present?" I ask as Eli is taking a drink from his cup when he accidentally chokes up
"Yea" Eli nervously laughs grabbing a napkin wiping off his coffee from his chin
"Did you?" Eli places his cup of coffee on the table
"I-I did actually when I was at the mall with Sam and Moon the other day" I smile
"Any clue who it is?" Eli smiles trying to get an answer from me
"Nope...you just have to wait patiently" I say as if i'm thinking about it
"Cmon not even a tiny hint" Eli lowers his tone and makes it breathier taking me by surprise
"Well they do karate" I smirk knowing what I said
"Really? The whole damn crew does karate the least you can say is if they're beast level or mediocre level" I scoffs
"Oh well I don't know that's up to them and their performance" I shrug my shoulders
"French toast for the pretty lady and Waffles for the young man, beautiful couple are you two" The lady says all excited
"We're actually not a-"
"The waitress...Becky" Eli cuts me off as he takes a look at Beckys name tag
"Thinks we're a beautiful couple" Eli smirks up to Becky
"Thank you" Eli says proudly as I whisper thank you sinking into my seat
I wait a couple of seconds trying to process what just happened with the lady but none of those comes new to me at this point.
