"Should we get this party started" Yasmine says walking fearlessly pass me
"I have to go" I point towards the kitchen
"Need a hand serving" Eli catches up
"I'd appreciate that" I smile up at him
"I'll take that" Moon and I quickly exchange the box as she walks off to drop off the box before Eli sees
Eli and I were serving up every plate in silence hearing the distant music in the background, slicing into the mac and cheese, roasted chicken, steamed vegetables. Serving every plate with a reasonable portion of every food. Eli and I tended to be really close due to passing plates back and forth to each other as Sam walked back and forth from the dinning room to the kitchen.
"You look stunning by the way" Eli breaks the silence catching me by surprise
"T-thank you, you don't look bad yourself" I look up to him and smile
"The food smells amazing doesn't it?" I question
"You did amazing" Eli chuckles
"I'm sure you did a pretty good job with the pie" I hand Sam the last plate we served
"Should we go devour this meal?" Eli extends his hand leading the way to the dining room
"I'm starving" I place my hand on my stomach
"I bet" Eli laughs as we both head straight to the dining room
Everyone was sat down so elegantly as the Christmas decorations lit up the toned down room. The dinning smelled like pine with just delicious food. The only two open seats left were at the edge of the table. Making Eli and I sit next to each other, no discussion about it. I make my way to my seat when suddenly Eli grabs it and pulls it out for me.
"Thank you" I whisper while Eli raises his eyebrows in "your welcome" type of way
"Should we dig in" Moon smiles at me knowing her little plan once again
"This food looks amazing Mia" Chris shouts from the other side of the table
"Wasn't your mom like a professional chef?" My heart stops as Mitch brings her up
"Dude" Demetri says between his teeth
Sam kicked Mitches leg, Chris looked sarcastically surprised, Bert shoving the food down his throat as he enjoys it.
"What? i'm sorry" Mitch apologizes confused
"It's okay aha, she.. she was" I smile at Mitch
"At least her talent didn't go to waste" Mitch takes a bite out of his chicken while everyone is just over him
I look at Yasmine choke on her drink which she was originally drinking from normally until she heard the comment
"oh this is gonna be good" Yasmine whispers to Demetri
"Do you ever shut the fuck up" Eli angrily says a few moments later
"Not at the dinner table" Moon says worried
"Eli it's okay I swear" I reassure Eli
"Hawk" Miguel demands his name
"Who's excited to open presents" Sam breaks the tension in the room
"I better get something good or all hells breaking loose" Chris says
"Oh shut up douchface" Miguel laughs
