Sumire felt like she was under water, her heart as if it dropped to her stomach and that her very soul is fading from her body. It's like the feeling you would have when the rollercoaster came into a drop, though this time there's no cart, rails, or anything to secure you. It's basically you falling to your death and your life rushing all back to you as if a fast forwarded movie.
The first scene that she recognized is something she never wanted to remember ever again, afterall it's the reason for her fear of fire.
"Sharon, where are you going?" The young Sumire asked, tugging on the older woman's sleeve in attempt to convince her to stay with her there on the pavement.
"Now, now little angel. Just stay here for a bit, will you? I'll be back as soon as I can, I promise." Sharon smiled as she caressed the young lady's cheek in reassurance, causing a geniune smile to appear on the innocent seven years old's lovely face. Sumire tugged the woman down and pressed her lips on the blonde woman's cheek before waving at her.
"Be careful then!" She grinned, sitting on the empty pavement in the middle of the night. Carefully stroking the skirt of her purple dress before sitting on the ground.
A few minutes have passed since Sharon left and to say the least is that the young flower is bored until another young girl made her way towards the pavement she is in, heading towards a convenience store with her father's request.
"Umm, may I ask why are you sitting on the floor?" The blonde young girl asked in curiousness, growing even more curious when she saw the foreign features that adorn the brunette.
"I'm waiting for a family friend. She told me to wait for her here." Sumire replied with a sigh following after before finally setting her gaze on the other girl. Her eyes widened in adoration when she saw the golden locks that rests on the other girl's head.
"Wow! Your hair is so pretty." Sumire beamed with excitement, standing up from the side of the street before approaching the other girl with a gentle smile.
"It's like Sharon's!" She added when she got close enough, reminding herself that she would dye her hair with the same shade when she grew up and then she remembered something, bowing ninety degrees in embarassment.
"Sorry! My name is Sumire Kudo!" The brunette exclaimed, not bothering to even lower her voice despite all the neighboring houses that sorrounds her. She got all of her outgoing personality from her mother afterall, though she might actually just is desperate for a friend right now that she's out of the hospital for a week but it's better than nothing if you spent pretty much of your life there.
"Kudo? You're a daughter of that famous author and actress?" The blonde girl questioned with interest, having seen the girl's mother several times on the television receiving awards here and there along with the most famous mystery author at the time.
Though she's having thoughts of asking why the brunette was never seen in television before despite having such famous talented parents.
"I am... What's your name?" Sumire whispered the first phrase in almost what sounded like shame, though not intending to do so. The blonde took notice of her almost unnoticable tone, shrugging it off before answering.
"Jodie..." The blonde girl replied ever so timidly, only perking the brunette's curiousity even more.
"Well then, Jodie... You look really pretty!" Sumire
"T-Thanks, you too..."
"Say, what's are you doing outside in the middle of the night?"
