Sumire glanced around the area in fear for the teenager who stood frozen between herself and Furuya, hoping there would still be a way left for them to leave this hell the organization specifically delivered on Earth just for them.

There were fire everywhere; several cars is on fire, the lighting was busted out by the fire and even the tunnel that led to the surface seemed to be surrounded by fire. Flames licking up in the air with the wind coming from various openings that is still surrounded by fiery flames towards their direction trying to catch something else on fire, causing Sumire to force Kaito behind her as Rei tried to do the same for Sumire, only to receive a look from her. And with only that, he realized that Kaito is their priority for now as the young magician is finding it hard to breath much harder than the two legal adults.

The brunette couldn't help but cough as smoke filled her system and try to fight the urge to collapse, screaming in pain as she felt the heat becoming too hot for her to handle when flames attempted to touch her. She glanced at Kaito who was yelling for help, hoping someone could heard her mentor's son as she couldn't find it in herself to let out even the tiniest sound she could muster without it being an exclaim of pain.

Rei desperately looked for his car through the smoke and flames as he tried to shield the other two with his body before removing his blazer and putting it on Sumire's shoulders, the reason being her outfit is not suited for such situation but neither is any of them.

Turning around, the blonde police officer caught sight of his RX-7 that is thankfully not on fire yet despite the huge debris covered with flames resting on its roof. Suddenly he took off for it, surprising Sumire when she felt Rei's grip on her shoulder disappeared.

"Stay there!" Rei yelled at the two as he charged towards the flames surrounding his car, worrying Sumire more than ever when she heard Kaito let out a hoarse cough before she let out a scream for the blonde to hurry as it doesn't look like Kaito could take it any longer before he lose consciousness.

The FBI agent forced herself to stand up, bringing Kaito up on his feet as well when she heard the engine of Rei's car roaring but she suddenly felt her phone vibrated on her pocket. With hesitance she pulled it out, cursing under her breathe as she took notice of how cracked the screen is before trying to read the message that most definitely could only be from Shuichi despite the large cracks only to fail. Then she received a call, accepting it through her earpiece urgently.

"...Where are you Sumire?" A panicked voice of a certain female co-worker of her asked before Akai Shuichi took the phone away from Jodie's grasp to question why she haven't been answering his messages.

Sumire glanced at Rei's direction, flinching a bit as he recklessly speed towards her and Kaito, knocking the debris out of the roof in the process.

"Send firefighters here, Shu-kun." She simply replied, ignoring his question before hanging up as Rei parked right infront of her and Kaito.

"C'mon, hurry!" Rei yelled with Sumire immediately make her way to the back seat to place Kaito there before heading to the passenger seat next to the blonde agent.

"Do you have any water?" Sumire asked as she looked at Kaito in worry through the rear mirror, who is still panting in the backseat.

"Check the compartment infront of you." Rei sighed as he calculate the place infront of them for a way out as Sumire look for the bottled water before handing it to Kaito once she found it who almost gulped it all down in one go.

"How are you gonna get us out of here?" Sumire sighed, mustering all of her remaining strength before clearing her mind.

"Swear you'll go back to me after all of this." Rei stated with a frown plastered on his face, eyes focused straight on the flame covered road right infront of them. Sumire couldn't help the heat that suddenly creeped to her face as she faced Rei in surprise, out of words for the first time in the presense of the blonde male beside her.

"W-What?" She stuttered, ready to retort until she took notice of the look Rei have plastered on his face. The brunette began weighting her choices and its consequences as well as Kaito's reminder before letting a sigh slip through her rogue lips.

She faced the road infront of them before answering.

"I swear." She stated without hesitation, feeling one of Rei's hand intertwine their fingers together with the other gripping the steering wheel.

And with that, Rei slammed the accelerator. Driving the car through the flames caused Sumire and Kaito to gripped on their seatbeats while Rei tightens his grasp on Sumire's hand, a dangerous smirk plastered on his face. Now just a few seconds away from being burnt alive, Sumire let a tear fall from her eyes in relief as she sigh as she thought of her parents and little brother.

"W-We're alive." Kaito let out in disbelief from the backseat.

"Do you have your phone? Mine's broken." Sumire asked Rei once she calmed down. The blonde pointed to the pocket of the blazer that is still on Sumire's shoulders with his eyes focused on the road before pulling over to the side to give everyone a moment.

Sumire immediately dialed James' number on Rei's phone, only replying with hums and 'understood' not giving the other two in the car any idea what the conversation is about until Sumire finally replied with a sentence.

"We'll be heading there as soon as possible." She stated with her authorative tone as if what happened earlier didn't even happened in the first place before hanging up.

"Where are we going?" Kaito asked in confusion, sharing a look with Rei when they saw the once again professional look on Sumire's face as she replied.

"Kudo Residence."
