"Where's Sumire-neechan?" Conan asked, looking around the house for a sign of his older sister but finding none. He then took a hesitant step towards the FBI agent who Sumire is most close with. Akai Shuichi sighed for his brunette partner and looked away in denial, waiting for someone else who might have enough courage to tell the shrunkened teenager instead. Jodie then offered her fellow agent a weak smile before approaching Conan, gesturing for him to follow her.

In silence, Conan worriedly followed the blonde agent without asking questions as he could notice the tension that started the moment he asked his question. Once they arrived at the kitchen where they could have a bit of privacy, Jodie faced the physically elementary student and in her face, there etched a painfully forced smile with her beautiful light blue eyes glistening with unshed tears.

"Can you just send a search party for Kudo-san already?" The woman who told the police about Sumire's disappearance earlier questioned in impatient, earning a glare from both Furuya and Inspector Ayanokoji.

"We are also considering the possibility of an outsider doing the crime. We need to make sure of it first." Inspector Otaki explained after the officer he's talking to finished his report, stating how Kudo Sumire contacted Hattori Heizo and that she's on her way back to clear her name as soon as she's finished with her business that she specifically told the Osaka Prefectural Police Superintendent to keep what it is exactly.

"Why suddenly think that an outsider did the crime when all you're talking about earlier is how Kudo-san could have done it. So what are the tricks and the methods you all are talking about earlier?" Sumire's former classmate scoffed in annoyance, finding the whole situation unnecessary.

"Miss, are you in any way have some kind of relationship with the victim? You're really pushing the authorities to have Sumire captured immediately." Furuya questioned, somehow managing to keep a straight calm face as he do so.

"I-I... I just don't like her ever since she entered the school, that's all. I mean, a lot of other former female classmates we have didn't like her because of her cold demeanor." The lady stuttered in surprise at the sudden point of accusation towards her.

"As we were saying, we have to check every possible scenario that could have happened."

Her actions caused him to breath in heavily, his shoulder's tensing up as the American agent crouched in front of him. Jodie carefully caressed his face, brushing some strands of his hair away from his face with her fingers just like how Sumire used to when Shinichi was just a toddler.

"She's currently on a heist. She'll go here as soon as they finish or at least that's what Sumi said." Jodie spoke with a soft yet shaky tone, her last words being a little hard for the shrunkened highschool detective to take in. His eyebrows furrowed, frustration suddenly building up from the lack of details being given to him.

"What do you mean by that, Jodie-sensei?"

"But Kudo-san is obviously--"

"Obviously what, Akagi-san? You should know that it's not a civilian's business to interpose unless he or she have any involvement whatsoever." Sumire challenged for her to continue what she have to say as she elegantly make her way towards the group with her arms crossed across her chest, the crowd automatically parting to let the brunette actress through.

"Sumire! Where have you been?" Rei questioned with worry evident on his tone as he made his way towards her, while the brown haired male he's teaming up with to clear Sumire's name stopped on his tracks as soon as Rei walked pass him. He bitterly gulped before turning away back to the police officers to give Sumire and Rei some time. Inspector Ayanokoji sighed as a distant memory repeatedly play itself on his mind like a broken tape.
