Will something be different?

It won't be something like that

But this day will be over

When the minute and second hands overlap

The world holds its breath for a little while

Zero O'Clock

"How's the training, Miss President?" Hiroyoshi asked as he walked down the hallway alongside Sumire, whom he unexpectedly saw at the opening ceremony two years ago as he is originally from Osaka while he met the female on Beika City.

"Few bruises and all since we just started the jujutsu last year but all is good, I guess." Sumire sighed in exhaustion, turning a corner before they started walking down the stairs. Her left hand buried on her skirt pocket, gripping on her regular fan as if to seek some sort of protection from it.

"And you still somehow manage to balance all of your responsibilities... Weekends spent in Beika City with your family, training Tessenjutsu and Jujutsu everyday when you went home, helping Hattori Heizo-san on cases if he ever needed help using Irene Altamont as an alias, writing short novels, and you being the president of this school's School Body Council." Kazuyoshi Hiroyoshi sighed, exaggerating his words with his actions by throwing his hands around in attempt to prove that he's indeed saying the truth. Sumire sighed and back away from Hiroyoshi, already knowing that the raven haired male would whine loudly as he always do.

The Irene Altamont is made up name Sumire used while disguising whenever she's asked to use when she's training to be a police officer under Hattori Heizo's supervision.

"Like seriously, How?!" He continued, exclaiming on top of his voice which caused Sumire to cringe at how loud he is. She rolled her eyes in annoyance before hitting the male on the back of his head.

"Does it ever made it in your mind that you're just too lazy to try anything?" She bluntly questioned, a playful glint lingering in her cobalt blue orbs as she crossed her arms across her chest. Hiroyoshi stopped in a minute before his mind finally have her words sinked in, racing to catch up with her.

"Hey, that's mean!"

"I know. Oh, and yell one more time here in the hallway and that's community service for you." Sumire smirked in victory.

"But that's--" He started to retort but stopped himself immediately after receiving a glare from the female.

"Anyways, where are you going?" Hiroyoshi asked once he catched up with the brunette, walking down another set of stairs before they could exit the building.

"To the grounds. I need to check on every booth before I go home. Only a few ones are open still." Sumire replied before sighing in exhaustion, scanning the area to look for any more booths for her to check. So far, only a few food stands and game booths are open.

"This year sure is definitely more crowdy than last year, isn't it?" The raven haired male smiled, following the school president as she checked the booths.

"Our directress invite that university from Tokyo, so it is bound to be like this." The brunette simply said.

"Anyways, what happened during the Burning Orphanage case last month?"

"I don't know." She simply answered.

"'I really want to tell you what you did wrong, one by one, but my head aches too much right now'... I heard him nearly exclaimed those words as he cornered him in a corner we call self-reproach, but I do know it's not his intention to startle the poor old man who now felt guilty for murdering his only precious child. I once heard his dear partner who turned out to be the murderer in the end asked him if what will he do if something he cherish would ever disappear from his life, but I heard no words left our beloved insvestigator's lips. Instead, he looked at his partner with a far off look, silently telling him that he cherish no such thing but looking back at the situation now at hand, I could easily tell by the look on his face that our hero have finally lost what he only ever cherish. The trust that used to be the last string that prevents him from falling into the deep depths of his dark mind that he and his bestfriend have now perish into dust as the truth finally resurfaces." Sumire said, reading the words she have written on her manuscript with a soft smile etched on her face. The children awaited her to continue but they noticed how the brunette started organizing her stuffs as if she's already done reading.
