Chapter 39
Chester’s POV
He sat alone in the living room. Mike and the guys had been leaving him alone a lot lately. He was worried that they were slowly going to leave them behind. He sighed and hoped it was just a paranoid feeling. Mike was so secretive about what they were doing too. Chester couldn’t help feeling afraid that he was going to be pushed away from them all. He whimpered and curled up on the couch under a blanket. He wanted Mike back. He wanted to sleep in his arms again. Mike had been gone for almost three days and the rest of the guys weren’t answering their phones. He had held onto his teddy bear the entire time that they were gone. That he was alone.
“Ches? You home baby?” Mike’s voice rang through the house. Chester was off the couch in an instant, running towards the front door. He saw Mike standing there, looking a bit tired, but other than that perfectly ok. He leaped at him. Mike had enough time to set down his bag before Chester was in his arms hugging him.
“Where were you? None of the guys answered their phones and I didn’t know what you were doing. I was afraid you had left me alone.”
“No baby, I would never leave you. Remember? I promised,” Mike said as he kissed his head. Chester buried his head into Mike’s shoulder and cried.
“I was scared that you were gone. That you weren’t coming back. That you had found someone better than me.”
“No, don’t ever think about that. I love you Ches. I love you,” Mike said with a small smile, “Now come on, it’s late and we should get some sleep.”
“Ok,” Chester said. He hadn’t been sleeping well either since Mike was gone. Mike kissed him again and stroked his hair gently.
“It’s ok. Just calm down Chester. I’m back home. I’m not going anywhere,” Mike whispered. Mike shifted his grip on him and then carried him up the steps to the bed. Chester didn’t want to let go of Mike but they had to change for bed. They clambered out of their clothes and Chester slid under the cool sheets in only his boxers. Mike was laying behind him. He felt the warmth from Mike’s chest flood into him and he sighed contently as he felt his eyes start to close. Mike’s arm wrapped around his waist and then his hand was rubbing circles on his chest.
“Just don’t leave,” Chester whispered and Mike laughed softly.
“Silly Chaz,” Mike whispered as he kissed him lightly, “Who would want to leave you?”

He laid awake. Mike had fallen asleep easily but he couldn’t get to sleep at all. He got out of bed. It was eight in the morning so Mike would probably be up around nine. He grabbed his bear from underneath the bed and then headed down the steps. He sighed as he fell onto the couch and switched the television on. He flicked through the channels and watched cartoons fly by. He finally stopped on one of the music channels that featured movies about bands or live performances. He glanced up at the screen and was surprised to see Mike sitting there.
