It was afternoon, although I woke up early it seemed the time had passed by. I was busy rushing through the kitchen, you see today was a special day. It was Dabi's birthday.
I was told by him that he never really celebrated his birthday so I thought I'd change that. My parents sighed as I made a mess in our bakerys' kitchen. This cake had to be perfect.
"Y/N are you sure you don't need help?" My mother asked. My father and mother owned this bakery. While they excelled in the art of baking, while I had no interested in baking.
Well today was an exception, I nodded to my mother desperately to help. I told her that I wanted her to instruct me while I made the cake.
About an hour and 30 minutes later the cake was finally done. It was a white smooth cake with puffs of blue on the top and bottom of the cake. The blue represented Dabis flames.
Me and my mother stood back admiring our work.
"So who is this for anyways? Someone special?" My sister said sliding down the stairs. I rolled my eyes as I responded to her.
"It's for a very good friend, thank you." I said as I looked for the box I was going to use to present the cake in. When I finally found it my family was in the living room doing god knows what.
I boxed up the cake and put it in the fridge, I then went to get washed up and changed. It took me about 30 minutes to shower, do my hair and change into a special outfit.
I grabbed the cake out the fridge and made my way to the car. I buckled up and made sure the cake was in a secure place. I then put Dabi's address in the gps.
10 minutes later I pulled up to Dabi's house. I sighed as I made my way up to his door. I'm had a moment of regret before I knocked on the door.
The door then opened to reveal a messy haired, and shirtless dabi. He was in grey sweats as he ruffled his hair.
'Did he just wake up?'
"What did you come here fo-" He cut off mid-sentence as he looked down.
"I came here to say happy birthday." I said as I handed him the cake.
"Sorry if it's not great, I made it myself." He mumbled something as he took the cake. I looked at him before he closed the door in my face without saying a word.
'If he didn't like the cake he could have said so...'
I sighed and began making my way to my car. Just as I was going to leave his front door, I felt a strong force grab me and pull me into the house. The door closed and I looked up to see Dabi.
"Don't leave, we're not done yet." He said in a low demanding tone. The fact that he was hugging me from behind made it even worse. He let me go and turned me around to look him in the eye.
"Happy birthday??"
