My Queen

My eyes fluttered open, the sun pouring into my room. I yawned turning over throwing the blanket back over my head.

"Y/N it's time to wake up. It's already 8, I hope you didn't stay up late yet again." I heard an awfully familiar voice nag.

I groaned before rising from under the blanket. Long behold there stood Momo with a schedule in hand.

"What's for today's schedule." I said standing up from my bed as the maids rushed over to undress me into today's outfit.

"We have breakfast with the King, dress shopping, paperwork, and looking for a suitor." She stated.

"Sounds like a pretty calm day." I said twirling in the flowy brown dress. She nodded and began to walk with me to breakfast.

"Morning father." I said as the butler's opened the large diner doors. He sat in the middle of our grand table. He nodded.

"Sisters." I said waving to them, them waving back. I have 3 sisters, me being the oldest means I'll be queen as soon as I'm married off.

I bowed before sitting down, a custom in our kingdom of Lictiva. (Lick-tiv-e- uh)

"Has Ms. Yaoyorozu showed you your schedule for today?" My father asked while siping his coffee. I nodded taking a sip of my tea. The tea was nice and herbal to say it was super cheap.

It was my mothers favorite brand, mother loved interacting with the people of Lictiva, she hated to be associated with the high stuck up riches.

"Momo told me I'd be looking for a suitor today." I said.

"What about Henry? I heard he's a prince in Alavendor." Father said as I shook my head.

"Father I know how much you love the kingdom of Alavendor but I'll know he's the one when I see him." I said as my sisters giggled.

"Y/N's going to be a real queen!" Libby, my youngest sister exclaimed.

"I would hope so.."

"Are you ready?" Momo asked me.

"To meet someone I'd have to spend the rest of my life with? Maybe." I stated keeping my head up. After all who wants a future queen who bows her head down to men?

The ballroom doors creaked open as every suitor turned to look at me. I waved and managed a smile as all the men bowed down.

"Introducing... Princess Y/N." A voice, my fathers boomed out over the crowd. I walked in the middle of the ball room, the suitors quickly following behind.

I walked over to a butler taking a glass of sparkling water and sipping a little of it.

"Hey lady." A voice said to the left of me. I turned over seeing an average size male, he had light red hair swooped back.

"Do I know you?" I said swirling the glass. He looked puzzled before laughing.

"I'm Henry, prince of Alavendor." He said bowing. I nodded.

"My father speaks highly of you." Henry chuckles.

"What an honor." He said picking his head up. A slow song comes on. It was a sweet melody, Henry looked at me with bright eyes.

"Would you give me this dan-"

"Hey asshole." A low voice let out behind Henry. He sighed before an arm wrapped around his neck. A taller man with dark raven hair appeared.

'Purple stitches...'

"You little shit, you tried leaving me." The man tries faking a smile which fails horribly at it, seeing as his mouth twitched.

"Princess Y/N this is Dabi. My friend and right hand man from Alavendor." He said as Dabi waved before looking around. It seemed as if this new man could care less if I was there or not.

"You two seem like great friends." I said looking at the two. Dabi had grabbed a fruit tart and was trying to stuff it down Henry's mouth.

"How long have you two known each other?"

"18 years out of 24." Henry finally choked out freeing himself from Dabi. Dabi laughed out at this action, as my body eased up.

"Now as I was saying," he coughed, "will you let me have this dance." Henry held out his hand bowing to me once again.

I nodded as Henry lead me out to the middle of the dance floor. He took hold of my hand and firmly gripped my back. We did the waltz, as he let to allowing me to spin.

I felt an arm pull me back in. I landed in the persons chest. 'Lub-dub Lub-dub lub-dub' the heart beat sounded. The warmth of the chest soothed me, making me want to fall in deeper.

"Hey Princess." I heard a familiar low voice. I looked up to see Dabi winking at me playfully. He grabbed my hand and carefully held my back. Almost like he felt like he'd break me. Nothing like how Henry had done it.

His body felt warm almost as if I was melting or drowning in honey.

Mother I think I've found the one.

He held me close and parted ways when the song was done. My body already missing the warmth.

"I think my friend over there likes you." Dabi said laughing, his phone ringing before he walked off. Henry walked over in Dabi's place.

"Might have been his girlfriend. Now what-"

Girlfriend. I zoned out. Of course I wasn't in love with him already but the thought of it was really appealing. I guess Henry will do, he is nice as well.

I smiled and excused myself before walking over to find my father. I told him about tonight and he nodded.

"Thank you all for coming Princess Y/N will now be taking her leave. We'll announce her final decision in months time." My fathers voiced boomed once more. I waved to the line of suitors as I opened the huge ballroom doors again.

The light slowly fading as the doors closed behind me.

Mother please don't let me turn out to be a home wrecker.
