The light slowly fading as the doors closed behind me.

Mother please don't let me turn out to be a home wrecker.

It's been 2 months since the ball for suitors. I was on the middle of breakfast when Momo came rushing into the dinner room.

"Y/N the men from the ball demand that you pick a suitor." She said looking at me and the king before bowing.

"When's our next free appointment?" I asked picking at the leftovers on my plate.

"That would be now." She said looking at my schedule for the day. I sighed and stood up.

"Then let's get going. Also can you do me a tiny favor?"

"Anything within my power."

"Good. Later father, sisters." I said before waving and walking out the room with Momo by my side.

"So for the favor. Can you call over Henry, we have some things to discuss before I can make a final decision." I said walking down the hall to the entrance to the garden.

"I'll do it now. Be sure to make a wise choice, don't be foolish." Momo said bowing at the door and turning around before walking off.

"Bold as ever." I mumbled sitting at a table in the garden. The table surrounded by beautiful flowers. Hydrangea, scorpion grasses, and irises grown all around the palace garden.

Of course all of them were my mothers favorite. And here I am, a cliche princess. Dead parent, and falling in love at a ball. Just great isn't it.

"Y/N!" I heard a voice call to me. I looked over and to my surprise it was Evergreen.

"Hey Eve, what's going on." I asked. Eve (pronounced like eh-v, not like Adam and Eve) is the second oldest after me. She's 17

"I should ask you that, you look...great." She said in a sarcastic voice.

"Wow way to be discreet. You look wonderful too."

Eve sat down across from me.

"I'm ready when you are." She said putting on her most serious face before bursting out in laughter.

"Okay well. There's this dude I met at the ball, he was perfect. Good looking, nice, he knew how to dance, and they way he held me made me melt." I said fidgeting my fingers.

"And...?" Evergreen asked.

"He has a girlfriend..."

"What about Henry, I heard dad talking about him. Sounds nice."

"He's great. Wonderful even. But I just don't see him that way." I said sighing. It's been a long day filled with sighs.

"Y/N, Henry is here to see you as you asked." Momo said standing at the entrance of the gardens. She stepped aside revealing Henry. Evergreen flashed me a smile before standing up.

"Good luck with your mystery man." She said as she walked to the entrance of the garden. Bowing to Henry and rushing into the palace. Momo did the same, although she flashed me a 'don't do anything stupid' kind of glare.

"Henry, how have you been?" I said as Henry hugged me.

"Good now that I've seen you." He said as I hugged him back and giggled.

"So, I've made my decision. It might surprise you." He sat down.

"Lay it on me."

"I want my suitor to be Dabi and I know it's-"

"Was that it?" He said interrupting my ranting. I looked at him.

"What did you think I didn't know? I've known since you two danced." He said letting out a chuckle.

"Oh, with the flirting I just thought..."

"Don't worry, I'm known for it. Woman or man, I'll flirt with anyone that piques my interest." Henry said sitting down.

"You do know Dabi is in a relationship don't you?" I nodded slowly.

"Then you'd be happy to hear they've recently broken up. He's now out for the taking, treat him good okay?"

My eye widened, and Henry chuckled. He made a 'come here' motion.

"What are you doing?" I said looking at him.

"Just look." He said pointing to the garden entrance, and there stood Dabi. He was dressed in a knight uniform, a sword at his waist. He walked to me arms open as I ran to him.

He cradled me in his arms and kissed my forehead.

"Still here guys." Henry said waving to us. Dabi chuckled.

"Are you sure your okay with it, I mean you just had a break up and-" I started.

"We'll actually you see, Dabi was never in a relationship to begin with. It was just a little white lie, a joke even." Henry said as he stood up and walked over to us.

"You little..."

"Is that a way you talk to your match maker? I think not." He said coming up to me and patting my back.

"Good luck you two. And yes I'd gladly be uncle Henry." He said patting Dabi's shoulder and walking off with Momo who was secretly standing at the door.

"Uncle Henry...?" I said looking up to Dabi.

Dabi laughed. "He wants us to have kids."

"A little too early don't you think." I said ruffling his hair.

"Who knows." He said as we walked down the garden.

AN: has nothing to do with today's chapter but i watched Spider-Man nwh a few days ago. 12/10 so good. Also on Christmas Eve I will release a chapter, and 2-3 new chapters on Christmas Day as a gift. Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season and stay safe <3
