"My Hero"

Today was a day like no other.

Citizens screamed. Hero's rushed to save people. And villains ravaged the city. It was a dark day without light, and the villains were in fact winning.

I rushed to the window of the burning apartment building . A woman was dangling outside the window, 7 stories above the hard concrete ground. The fire crept up to the window seal. Most likely burning her knuckles.

I stood on the ground and positioned myself underneath her.

"You can let go, I'll be here to catch you!" I shouted up.  Apparently my voice couldn't travel 7 stores. I sigh. Then besides me Tsuyu appeared.

"Want to rescue her?" I said as we both looked at her. Tay nodded before jumping and climbing her way up the burning building, avoiding the scorching hot fire.

It wasn't just this building, it was the whole city. All hero's have been deployed to rescue and assist citizens in any way we can with no success.

It seems that for every citizen we save, more are just brought into harms way. The people that were saved were brought to a safe house, big enough to store thousands of people.

I hold up my arm, using the device wrapped around my wrist to seek out any more information gathered by all the other heroes. Upon doing so I saw a red dot behind me.

I turned around to see nothing. Air.

"Is this thing broken? There's no enemy here..." I check it once again. The dot once again behind me, signaling the heat signature of a villian.

Before I could turn around a black cloth wrapped around my mouth. The smell intoxicating and filling my nose and body quickly. I squirmed in my captures hold.

My breathing slowed as my mind raced. Suddenly my head hurt. A hell of a lot. I touch my forehead, bringing my fingers down to find blood.

Is this the way I die?

My head throbbed the moment my eyes opened. Or I thought I opened them...but wherever I was at was flooded my eyes with darkness. It was pitch black. So dark I couldn't even see my own hands.

It was then I noticed I was sitting in a basic wooden
chair. I checked my arms and legs remembering how I got wherever I am.

'No rope. Either this is my kidnapper's first time or something else is going on.'

Im going with the latter. I have two options, I can wait and see my kidnapper and try to apprehend them. Or I could leave now and come back with a team of heroes.

'Although I hate to admit it, I'd have a more likely chance if I team up with other hero's.'

Before I can begin to put my plan of escaping into action, the light in the room I'm being held in beam bright down on me. My eyes squint, adjusting to the sudden light. My head throbs more in the process.

I can now see that I'm in a light gray room. Gray surrounding all sides including the roof, and grounding too. I then realized that one wall in front of me is replaced entirely with a window.

I'm in a testing room. One where others can see in. I'm snapped out of my thoughts when I look up to see two figures at the window. Looking in on me.

Voices boom at their sudden appearance.

"What do you want? Y/N are you okay?!" I startled voice asked. I know that voice. The voice of my lover.
