"Uh Y/N hate to break it to you but that wasn't me.." Mina said in a slightly worried voice.

"Then just who was I-" I said before I turned around. There I was was met with the face of the infamous Dabi, just a few inches away from my own.

"So just how do you plan to kill me?" He said making a sadistic smile.

"With love??"

Dabi leaned against the wall and crossed his arms as he glared at me.

"Well if you excuse me now I'll get going." I coughed out rushing out of that area.

"I'll be watching you." He said chuckling. I stopped in my tracks and took a deep breath before turning around.

"Make sure to catch my good side." I rolled my eyes before walking away. Did he think that could threaten me?

"Mina was that alright?!"

"Yes you did great! It seems to me as if he likes you."

"What do you mean he likes me, I just talked about killing him right to his face." I said walking towards the ballroom.

"Well think of it, do you think he would let someone who just threaten his existence go?" I could heard the smile in her voice.

I made a sarcastic giggle that fell flat before opening the ballroom door. It was filled with rich people, both the people and room opulent and dripping in elegant jewels. They laughed and shared expensive wine and champagne that I knew for a fact probably cost more than an average house.

"Y/N the Vercetti family is on the move. There's about 21 of them. 9 by all three doors. 8 by two bars, 3 as waiters and 1 as Dabi's body guard."

"Got it, how many men does the Vercetti family need to kill off one man?" I said smiling into my champagne from the waiter who rounded by my side and offered me a glass.

Tonight was definitely going to be entertaining.

"Like I said earlier, if you were listening," She mumbled the last part but I heard it perfectly fine. ",Dabi is a very powerful man in both power and money." Mina said typing.

"If he's so powerful why did someone request me to protect him." I said mentally rolling my eyes while taking another sip of the champagne.

"You can never be too safe, now stay close to Dabi and do not take your eyes off him." Mina said in a low and deep voice.

"Okay okay I got it. He's in the middle of the room right?" I said as Mina made a 'mhm' humming noise in an affirming tone. I made my way over to the middle of the room and looked for his guards. I soon found them near the bar and made my way over there.

I found Dabi at the bar sitting while surrounded by all his guards. I sat far, out of his range of view but close enough so that he was still in my field of vision.

"One old fashioned please." I said to the bartender. She nodded before turning quickly to begin making my drink.

"Don't get drunk on the job Y/N." Mina said sighing.

"I got this, I rarely mess up cases as big as these. Plus this is the only time I'll get to drink something as expensive as my apartment."

Suddenly there was a loud noise coming from the other side of the bar. A guard was yelling at the bar tender.

"It was her, she spiked your drink sir. I'll fix you another one right away." The guard said as he glared at the trembling bartender and began making a drink. For a slight second, I could see a white pill fall out of his sleeve and into the drink.

"Y/N you see that guard? He's works for the Vercetti family. Make sure Dabi doesn't drink that." Mina said.

"Yeah yeah I got it." I said as a went under my dress and unclipped the pouch to my gun.

"Here you are sir." The guard said handing him his drink. Dabi looked at the drink before scooting it back to the guard.

"You know what? I'm suddenly not so parched. How about you drink it? Think of it as a gift from boss to worker." Dabi said smiling, but the smile held no warmth. Instead it was like being trapped in the arctic stripped of all your clothing. Forbidding and unforgiving.

"Oh no sir I'm good." The guard said slightly backing up.

"Go ahead I insist." Dabi said standing up.

"No really I'm fine sir." The guard said before Dabi reached over and held the man by the back of his throat. "Tell me, what did you put in my drink?" He said in a low and deep snarl.

"N-nothing I swear." He said trying to pry Dabi's hands from around his neck.

"How funny. Was your second job choice being a comedian? I really think you'd excel." Dabi said before the man burst into blue flames and screamed out.

Just then gunshots went off as Dabi's body guards surrounded him.

"Deal with them and come find me when you're done." He said walking off and using one hand to put on a black leather glove.

Many people ran for the doors and crowded hallways trying to escape, meanwhile I followed Dabi. It seemed he knew his way around the mansion as he went into a room that was dark and empty. After hesitating I remembered what Mina said and took a deep breath before following him into the room.

"You even followed me through all this, surprising." He said as he turned around looking at me. He held up a gun quite similar to mine and aimed it at me.

"Although it is commendable let's end this soon yeah?" He said as he fired the trigger. I flinched as I opened my eyes and heard something dropped to the floor. Or rather someone. I turned around to see one of the assassins dead.

"From the looks of it, it seems you haven't came to kill me." He said wiping off his gun, although there was no blood on it whatsoever.

"I'll let the assassins deal with that one." I said sitting down on the large red couch.

"Let's go." Dabi said before grabbing my hand and pulling me off the couch.

"Good luck!" Mina said.

"Oh shut up." I said following Dabi.
