Chapter 10

Hero's pov

Leaving Felix behind in Boston sucked I never saw my bruv so down before. But he knew I had to be there to support Jo and go home with her and Mercy. So here we are back in sunny California and I can't help but be in a better mood. "Come on Hero are you taking me to the studio or not?" Jo asks me as I roll over grabbing her into my arms as she giggles swatting my hands away. "Yeah love I'm up ok" I say chuckling as I get out of my bed and grab my joggers and throw them on with a T shirt and my socks and shoes. "Is fucking Luke going to be there?" I ask her as she finishes getting ready. "Duh Hero he's in the band" she says rolling her eyes at me. "I just can't stand the wanker" I tell her as I reach around her and grab my toothbrush as I brush my teeth. "Well we have to come to some agreement here. He knows I'm yours and your mine so don't even let it bother you" she sighs out wrapping her small arms around my neck as she looks up at me. "I know I love you baby" I say caressing her cheek as she smiles saying "I love you babe" and leans up and kisses me passionately our tongues colliding together until Mercy barges in my bathroom yelling "ewww come on before we're late." Jo laughs as we break apart both of us breathless as I smile down at her. "Your driving without us so leave already" I tell my little sister irritably. "Dude I'm not showing without Jo" she says rolling her eyes at me. "I'm ready let's go" Jo says taking my hand as we follow Mercy down the stairs and continue to where my parents are waiting in the kitchen as we walk in they give us each a bag with bagels and cream cheese to eat on the way and bottles of orange juice. "Good luck today sweetie" my mum says giving Jo a hug and a kiss on her cheek. "Thanks Martha" Jo says smiling at her. "Just have fun don't let it stress you out" my dad tells her as he gives her a hug. "Thanks I needed to hear that" Jo says smiling as my dad as she pulls apart. "Son don't forget to take care of them" my dad says looking at me. "Dad I can take care of myself and so can Jo" Mercy says annoyed. "I know darling but if it's necessary a man should stop the situation before a lady is hurt" my dad says sternly. "You know I'd give my life for them dad don't worry" I tell him dismissing him as I take Jo's hand and Mercy rolls her eyes as we head out the door. "We have to eat some now if you want to take the bike" I say waving the bag in front of Jo's face. "Fine hurry" she says giggling as Mercy jumps in her car I see her grab her bagel as well while we all eat as fast as we can without choking and finishing off the jugs of orange juice I throw the trash in the bin outside and grab Jo's helmet and hand it to her. "Can I drive you?" she says smirking at me. "Sure baby" I say shaking my head as I put my helmet on and scoot in behind Jo as she jumps starts the bike sliding her ass down back on the seat as she grinds against me she looks back at me and winks. Little tease. I hold on to the handle bars with her so my weight doesn't pull her down and follow along with her as we take turns with Mercy on the side of us driving down the freeway. Her ass grinding against my already hard cock isn't helping but I know Jo has been driving the bike and can handle it which is extremely hot. "Love don't make us crash yeah" I chuckle in her ear as she laughs saying "never your safe with me always." Reminding me of something I once said to her. We arrive at the recording studio and park the bike I see Sam's van already parked as Mercy parks beside us. "Are you singing the new song you wrote?" Mercy asks Jo who looks at her and nods her head shyly. "What you wrote the song your recording today why didn't you say anything?" I ask her curiously. "It was supposed to be a surprise" she says nudging Mercy who smirks and says "oops my bad." "It's all right I'm just excited to hear it even more now love" I tell her bending down to give her a kiss. Just as we're about to go inside Sam and Luke come walking out the door. "Yo FT my man what's up?" Sam says excitedly grabbing me in for a bro hug. "Just here to support my wifey and the band too of course" I say smiling at him. "Respect bro" he says patting me on my back. I look at Luke who just glares at me angrily so I can't stop myself when I say "is there a problem Luke?" "Problem nah man no problems here" he shrugs non challantly his attitude pissing me off as he looks over at Jo purposelessly checking her out in front of me. My fists clench as Jo grabs my face and kisses me hard totally taking my mind on her soft lips and smooth tongue until she pulls away and says "let's get this recording over so we can go out babe." "Yeah love of course your the boss" I tell her cheekily as she giggles poking my dimples. "You two are so adorable together it's sickening" I hear Owen say chuckling as he sticks his head out the door to the studio. "Hush it you know you envy us" Jo teases him making him laugh as he nods his head confirming it as I chuckle  Mercy grabs Jo's other hand as we head up the stairs I hear Luke whisper to Sam not so subtlety "I thought this was a closed set what the fuck is he doing here. And why are we recording this stupid song she wrote?" I shall not kill this mother fucker today I keep saying to myself as my jaw clenches this is a huge deal for my girl and I will not this fucking wanker make me do anything to fuck this up for her. "Dude chill the producer liked the song and like it or not it's pretty catchy" Sam says making me chuckle Jo looks back at me smiling the hugest smile as her beautiful greyish-blue eyes glow in excitement making me smile back at her as I squeeze her hand we enter a room filled with sound equipment, a couch,  small table and two men in chairs sitting behind the equipment. "Josephine it's great to see you again I loved your last show the names Lou" a man in a suit says standing as he shakes Jo's hand. "Thanks Lou this is an amazing opportunity for us" Jo says happily. "This is Fred he mixes the sounds together" Lou says introducing the other man in the chair who simply nods his head saying "sup." "Hey Hero good to see you man" Jeremy says shaking my hand. "Thanks mate good to see you too" I say smiling at him. Luckily I like all the other guys in Jo's band just not Luke he's a prick. "Ready to sing sweet baby girl" I ask Jo handing her a bottle of water. "Yeah I am" she says smiling as she gives me a chaste kiss and then hugging Mercy before following Jeremy into the other room where all their instruments are set up we can see them through the glass wall and I watch as Jo adjusts her mic lowering it as I smile at her she looks at me and winks. Owen gets behind his drum set as Sam and Luke put their guitar straps over their shoulders and Jeremy adjusts his Bass strumming it with his pic. "When your ready Jo use your fingers to count down to three" Lou says into the microphone as Jo puts her thumbs up. A few minutes later Sam nods at Jo who puts her small hand up as she holds each finger going from three to none as the band starts to play a beautiful melody and Jo's angelic voice starts to sing 🎶 There's always one in a lifetime, you'll never know when they will come, but once you look in their eyes, you'll feel the spark deep inside, and you'll never let them go.🎶 The rest of the guys join her singing as they play their instruments 🎶 "I'll never let you go- ooohh nooo, never ever let you go." 🎶Your my hero oohh🎶 Jo sings looking direct at me as I my heart starts beating harder. She wrote a song for me. I try to focus as I listen to the rest of the song as Jo sings 🎶"So grab the love of your life, and make each day the best of times. It doesn't have to have a rhyme or reason. It is constant like the four seasons so never let them go.🎶 The others join in singing the chorus with Jo again and I hate to admit it but Luke is a really damn good guitar player and singer. The song finishes as Jo sings 🎶 "your my hero oh oh yeahhh."🎶 I put my hand to the glass as Jo looks at me her face flushed and say "I'll never let you go either." "That was great you guys excellent" Lou says into the microphone as Jo claps up and down and Sam gives her a hug as do the rest of the guys making my jaw clench as she side hugged Luke. "She loves you big brother" Mercy whispers coming up next to me. "I know that" I say a little irritably. "Don't ruin her excitement" she warns me. "That's the last thing I would ever do" I say glaring at Mercy as Jo comes running in the room I put on my biggest smile and pick her up kissing her face all over as she giggled in my arms saying "Hero stop." "You wrote me a song I have to lavish you with kisses" I tease her as Lou looks at us and smiles making Jo relax a little as she gave me another peck on my lips. "I'll send this demo out and then we'll work on more songs. Sound good?" Lou asks the band. "Yeah man just call me and we'll set up the dates" Sam tells him smiling as they shake hands. "Jo your really something special your voice is unique" Fred says speaking for the first time since he said "sup." She sure is something special. "Thank you so much" she says smiling as she grips my hand in excitement as we follow the guys outside with Mercy. "So how about a welcome home party/celebration party tonight FT?" Sam asks putting his arm around me. "No one even knows I'm home except you guys and me and Jo's parents" I say chuckling at him as Jo smirks up at me. "What?" I ask her knowing that face and that she was up to something. "I may or may not have told Elle you were back, and she told Noah and Lee, who then told Rachel and by the time it spread that far well basically the whole school knows your here" she says smiling up at me. "Where is this party located?" I ask curiously. It would be fun to see everyone again especially Morgz. I just wish Felix was here. "Noah said his place was free" Sam says excitedly. "So Luke's place?" I say rolling my eyes. "Hero come on all our friends want to see you" Jo says pouting at me. She knows I can't say no to her when she does that. Little minx. "Fine fuck but if he starts shit I swear" I say but she cuts me off "Hero he won't and if he does I'll make him look like a fool for trying to get something he will never have. I love you remember" Jo says a little irritably. "I'm sorry baby I love you" I tell her. "We'll be there k later mate" I tell Sam who nods his head and pats Jo on the back before he gets in his van the rest of the band already left. Mercy waiting in her car for us. "Me and Jo are gonna go for a drive first. We'll meet you for dinner and the party yeah" I tell my sister who nods her head as she says "yeah I'm not going to the party I feel bad for Felix so I'm gonna face time with him tonight instead." "What you have to come" Jo says looking at her like she has ten heads. "Hero will be with you plus those rules we've been breaking all along" she says smirking at Jo. "True but some will never be" she says smiling at Mercy who nods her head blowing her a kiss. "See ya later sis" Jo says waving as Mercy drives away. "So where we going mister Fiennes Tiffin?" she looks up at me with happiness in her eyes. "You'll see" I say winking at her as I hop on the bike adjusting my helmet as Jo climbs on behind me holding on to me tightly I kick start the engine and take off as Jo laughs in my ear the wind blowing in our faces as the Ocean breeze smell hits my nose making me feel at peace. This is home here with Jo.
