Chapter 43

Jo's pov

I've been so drained these last few months but knowing I'm doing everything in my power to keep my little one healthy has made me push through all the sickness and agony that I've had to suffer through. Just as Dr. Wilson was about to announce to us whether we were having a boy or a girl I had to cut her off I just had too. "Jo what's wrong? Do you want some fancy reveal love?" Hero asks me nervously squeezing my hand as I shake my head no, in reply to him while pulling my phone from my purse. "I can't do this without Mercy" I say to him sheepishly  to which he smiles at me adoringly. "Go on then call her" he says his eyes gleaming with excitement while Dr. Wilson smiles at us both. I quickly hit 2 on my favorites list pulling up the video icon so she can see us as I smile recalling the little spat we got into about how she had gotten replaced by her own damn brother for the number 1 spot.

"Everything ok with the baby" Mercy answers the phone, her green eyes wide with worry. "Yes of course everything is fine" I quickly reassure her as Felix gets in the view of the screen saying "thank fuck for that yeah." "Oi our doctor has something important to tell us you wanker" Hero says to him making me chuckle. "Ok guys you ready to find out what your having now or what" Dr. Wilson asks us to which Mercy shrieks in excitement jumping up and down as the phone shakes in her hand. "Calm down we haven't even found out yet " Hero says to her making her flip him off luckily Dr. Wilson didn't see it even though I don't think she'd really care. She's the best doctor and I've grown so close to them all here. "It's a boy" Dr. Wilson says happily making tears spring to my eyes. It's A boy. Our boy. A tiny little version of the man I love more than anything.

"A boy" Hero says leaning down so our foreheads are touching as I hear Mercy and Felix yell out in congratulations. His greenish blue eyes bore into mine as he gently placed a kiss on my forehead and I just pray our little man has those same eyes. "I'm so bloody lucky" he says as he gives me a light tender kiss on my lips my body literally shakes as he pulls away. I want more, I need more it's been so long since I've felt him inside of me. "I'll give you two some privacy then you're all set to go just schedule your next appointment at the front desk ok guys and congratulations" Dr. Wilson says as she hands me the pictures of the ultrasounds. One of them has I'm A Boy written on it in the center of the ultrasound I can already see his perfect little nose and mouth and I smile knowing that it's the perfect way to tell our parents that they are having a grandson.

"Let's go home love" Hero says as I finish getting dressed. "I'm hungry" I tell him to which he laughs smiling at me he says "already have Mercy and Felix on it love." Damn he's good.

Short update sorry it's been forever I'll try to be better at writing but I just got over a cancer scare and I'm been dealing with a lot of personal stuff. Thank you all for being patient with me.
