MAY 30TH, 2023

"Oh, bloody hell," I muttered under my breath, a little laugh escaping my lips. I look down at the two tests in front of me, both of them proving that once again, I was pregnant. It was about time, really.

We'd often discussed the idea of having two kids, it was something we both wanted.

What better timing than with Orla being three years old now? It couldn't have come at a better time.

I just had to tell Harry now. I was pretty sure he was still recording, I'd let him finish that first. Orla was in the living room, playing with something she'd received from Simon and Talia for her third birthday. Harry always had his office door open, so he was sort of supervising still.

are you still recording?

No, on a call

with the guys??

Yep

What's up

just need to talk to you but it can wait

I'll be done in an hour

fab :)

An hours wait wasn't too bad. The time would go quickly, right?

Wrong. It was fifty minutes later now, and it had gone by so slowly. Even after surrounding myself with Orla, I found myself overthinking about how to tell him I was pregnant. Was I being too boring by just telling him unannounced? Did I have to organise something proper as a surprise?

He wouldn't mind, right? He'd just be happy for another baby, right?

There was movement from his room, and he emerged, his headset hair extra noticeable today.

"I can tell you've been working hard today," I tease standing up to ruffle his hair a little.

"Don't get me started, I just wanna sit on the sofa and fall asleep with your weird cooking show on in the background," he yawned, holding his arms out for me to bury my head into.

Gratefully, I did so, feeling his arms wrap around my back.

"I actually have something I needed to tell you," I mumbled against his chest, and it came out quieter than intended. He didn't hear me the first time.

I pulled back, looking up at his at an awkward angle. "I have to tell you something," I repeated, watching him become more awake, more alert now.

"Oh shit yeah, you did text and say that. Is it important?"

"I guess so," I spoke sarcastically. He had no idea.

"Is everything okay? Nothing happened, did it?"

"No! Nothing happened - well, nothing bad, at least," I spoke, a warm smile unable to leave my face.

"What's going on? Are you -"
