Juliet sat at the bar in the kitchen, her hair now fell to her shoulders and was dark brown. She was quiet, as she had been for the last 4 years. She stopped hiding downstairs 2 years prior and was now back to teaching classes and helping the students. But she had still yet to go into the training room with the XMen. Which is where they currently were, minus Scott who was in his room. Rogue walked in and looked at Juliet, "How did it go?", Rogue sighed, "How do you think?", Juliet softly smiled, "I'm sorry, Rogue.", the two sat together and Juliet tensed. Logan walked into the kitchen and she stood, "Juliet.", she clenched her jaw, "Scott needs me.", and she left. Logan sighed and Rogue looked at him. "You really hurt her, Logan. It's going to take time.", he looked at her, "How much time?", and Rogue sighed before she walked away.

Juliet sat in Charles office, by the professor on the floor. She wasn't listening until Storm spoke. "A cure? You can't cure being a mutant. It isn't a disease.", Juliet glanced up as Rogue ran in, "They can cure us?", Juliet stood up and looked at her, "It seems that way, but Rogue. You don't need cured. There is nothing wrong with you. With any of us. And soon, this will turn into forced injections.", she walked away as Logan looked at her and she flinched. "I'm going to my room.", and she disappears. "Who is that?", Charles spoke up, "That's Juliet Barnes, the Witch.", Hank nodded. "She seems-", Logan sent him a look and Charles spoke, "She hasn't been herself in a while.", Hank nodded and Storm left the room.

Storm walked into Juliet's room and saw her playing with her blocks. "Juliet, you have to forgive him.", Juliet looked at her, her eyes glowing. "He broke my heart and lied to me. I may heal quickly, Storm, but I don't forgive well when it comes to matters of the heart.", a high pitched ringing entered their ears and they ran upstairs. "What the hell was that?", Logan looked at Juliet, "I don't know.", the trio ran into the Professor's office and he looked at them, "Get to Alkali Lake.", and they nodded. Juliet went to stay behind, "Juliet. It's Scott.", she clenched her jaw and she took a deep breath, "I'll go for Scott. That's it.", she spun on her heel and he spoke up, "It's been four years, Juliet. Don't let this effect you any longer.", she looked at him, "I may heal quickly but that doesn't apply to a broken heart.", she went to her room and changed into a black t-shirt dress, ankle boots, and a plum leather jacket. She grabbed a necklace Scott had given her and put it on, along with a couple of rings Charles had gotten her to occupy her mind with. She took her seat and played with her rings as Storm flew them to Canada.

Juliet frowned at the fog over the lake and she tilted her head. "Something is wrong.", Storm lowered the jet and Juliet quickly left and walked around. "Storm.", she nodded and the fog lifted to show them surrounded by levitating debris. Juliet's eyes wandered and she clenched her jaw, "What the hell happened here?", Juliet searched around and she found Scott's glasses. Her felt her breath catch in her throat and tears fell down her cheeks. "No.", she ran forward, "Logan! Juliet!", Juliet grabbed Scott's glasses and her dogtags. "Scott! No. No. No!", she started sobbing and she fell to her knees. Storm ran over to her and held her. Juliet's sobbing raised more rocks and Logan ran out of the jet as Storm sighed. "Logan, she isn't okay. Help her.", Logan looked at her and looked around as the ground started cracking and breaking, "Stop, Jules. This isn't you.", she glared at him and he frowned as her eyes glowed. "I'm sorry.", and he stabbed her. Her eyes faded and she gasped, "You should've aimed for my heart.", and she went limp.

Juliet slept and Charles looked at her. It had been a few hours now since Jean was brought back and they discovered Scott was dead. She should have woken up by now but she hadn't. Charles placed his hands on the side of her head and entered her mind.

Charles woke and he sat in a log cabin. He went out the door and glanced around. The trees were green and it was warm. Juliet sat on a rock, she was wearing a cardigan, jeans, and boots. Her hair was in a bun. "Charles, come and have a seat.", he walked over and sat beside her, "What are you doing, my dear?", she glanced down, "I can't be awake. I'll be a danger.", her eyes filled with tears, "Scott was my best friend. I. It should have been me back then. Everyone would have been happier.", Charles sent her a look and she clenched her jaw, "You're not welcome here, anymore. You need to leave.", her eyes glowed and she pushed Charles from her mind.

Charles gasped and Storm and Logan ran in, "What happened?", they looked at Juliet and Logan frowned, "Why isn't she awake?", Charles looked at him, "Because she doesn't want to be.", Logan farrowed his eyebrows, "She isn't happy, Logan. She's depressed and feels alone. She was heartbroken and now she is mourning. Jean killed Scott. At least the other side of her did. She won't wake up until she wants too.", Logan glared, "Force her to. We need her.", Charles sighed, "She threw me out of her mind, Logan. She doesn't want to leave. She is scared of herself. She has amazing control of her powers, Logan. But her emotions, she isn't in control of them. She is facing too many at one time. She's sad, mad, hurt, confused. She can't control them all. Making her powers go haywire. Until she is in control of her emotions, she won't want to wake up.", Logan sighed and punched the wall. "This is my fault.", Charles looked at him, "Part of it is, yes. But. Not all of it. Stryker, Scott, the Cure, and Jean. It overloaded her emotions. She wanted to be the one to save us, at the Lake. Jean didn't let her. Chances are Juliet would have survived the dam breaking, but there is no guarantee that she would have returned to the School. Jean knew that. If Juliet were to be swayed to Erik's side. It would be catastrophic.", Logan looked at her, "She wouldn't be swayed to be with him.", Charles sent him a look, "Logan, you can't see into her mind. The glimpses I have gotten over the last few years. She feels alone. There is no more Wolverine and Witch to her. She wants to leave. She is vulnerable. All it takes is the right words, something Erik is very good at.", Charles looked at him, "You have to be careful, Logan. One wrong step and she could turn against us.", Charles left him in Juliet's room.
