Chapter 14: Scary

1973

Charles looked at Juliet and Logan, "Let me get this straight. Myself and Erik sent you back so we could stop Raven and said we need Erik's help but didn't tell you were Erik was or why he was there?", Juliet nodded, "Exactly. But considering  that it's Erik, I'm just going to asume it's something very bad.", Hank nodded and she looked at them. She frowned, "No. Please no.", Logan looked at her, "JFK, Logan. The bullet curved.", and he sighed. She looked down and clenched her jaw. "We need him.", Hank sighed and she glanced down, "We need schematics of his cell and the Pentagon.", they nodded and got the things she asked for. Logan looked at her and she softly smiled, "Are you okay?", she smiled, "Are you with me?", he grinned, "Always.", and they held hands. She pushed his claws out and she frowned, "If I recall from our memories. 1973 is when Stryker gets us, and he keeps us for quite a few years.", he nodded, "What if we help them find Raven and then run. Stryker won't find us.", Logan looked at her, "I wouldn't change a thing about what Stryker did to us. It made us stronger, Jules.", she nodded and looked away. Logan smiled at her and Hank and Charles returned. "We need Maximoff.", Logan looked at her but didn't disagree. "Who is Maximoff?", she looked at Charles, "And old friend. He'd been, 19 or 20 now. I think. Charles can't use Cerebro. But I can. At least. In the future I do.", Logan shook his head, "No. You have your powers under control in the future. Right now, you're not as tapped into them.", she nodded, "Got a phone book?", Hank nodded and walked away.

The group got to the Maximoff home and Juliet felt Peter rushing around them. She nodded and knocked on the door. "What did he do now? I can write a check.", Juliet sighed, "We just need to talk to him. Go sit.", the woman listened and the four walked in and found Peter. "Alright Speedster. I have a job for you.", he sent her a look and she raised an eyebrow. Logan sighed and Charles looked at the auburn haired girl. "Is she always-", Logan looked at him, "So blunt. No.", she tilted her head, "I need you, you little kelptomaniac, you help us break into the Pentagon and get out Magneto.", Peter looked at her and she raised an eyebrow, "Okay.", and she smiled. She spun on her heels, "Logan. He showed his. Show yours.", Logan sent her a look and she raised an eyebrow, he let his claws out and Peter made a face. "Cool, but gross.", Juliet laughed and the group went up the stairs, back to the car. "Peter, sit up front with Logan. I'll sit between Charles and Hank. I am the smallest.", Logan looked at her, "We do call you little witch.", she glaredat him and he chuckled. "It isn't as scary now that your eyes don't glow.", she rolled her eyes and looked at Charles. "It's scary, right?", he shook his head and she huffed in annoyance. "I think you're scary.", she smiled, "Thank you, Peter.", he nodded at her and she glanced around as they drove and got to the jet.

The group got to the Pentagon and Hank changed into tourists clothes. Juliet lifted an eyebrow before she turned, "Are you two sure you don't want me with you?", Charles and Logan looked at her, "We can handle it.", she nodded and looked at Peter, "Let's go.", and the two disappeared and found how to get to Erik. Juliet sighed, "This is gonna be alot of work. Be careful, okay.", Peter nodded and he looked at her, "What did he mean when he said it's scarier when your eyes glow?", she swallowed, "In the near future someone takes us and experiments on us. He's bones get covered in a rare metal and I get glowing eyes and powers and I get the nickname Little Witch.", she blinked away the tears, "But it's a good thing. It makes us stronger and that bond is what makes us fall in love and have our daughter.", Peter nodded and she glanced around, "Alright. They're taking his food. Let's go.", the two got in and the guard was disabled. Juliet using her powers to effect the cameras so she wouldn't show up. Erik looked at the two people above him. Juliet looking at Peter, "Vibrate your hands. It'll shatter the glass and I can help him out. Quickly. Guards are coming.", Peter nodded and did as she said and she turned. She tilted her hands and the glass fell and Erik looked at her as it stopped. She pushed it around him and tilted her head as she laid down. "I would ask if you need help but you seem fit enough to get up yourself.", she winked and Peter made a face. She shrugged, "Me and Logan still have like 30 years until we're married.", Erik looked at her. "Oh right.", she put her fingers on his temples and showed him the memories of the sentinels. She even showed him Raven being hit with the cure.", Juliet blinked, "She loves you, ya know.", he sent her a look, "Peter, take Erik. I'll handle the guards.", Peter nodded and grabbed Erik's neck. "What is this?", Juliet spoke, "He is protecting your neck from whiplash.", Erik nodded and the door opened, Juliet flicked her wrists and the guards flipped and got knocked out and Peter ran through. Juliet levitated after them. Juliet got to the elevator with them and she looked at Erik. "Charles doesn't have his powers, but I do. I will use them if I have too.", he nodded, "Fair enough.", she licked her lips, "In the Future, I read your mind one day. After our final battle. I saw everything. I'm sorry. I thought I had a tragic background but. You've seen more pain in 30 years than I did in 150.", he looked at her, "Right. So. I regenerate. I have telekinesis, telepathy, energy manipulation, and neuroelectrical interfacing.", Erik nodded, "You must be strong.", she softly smiled, "Only because I'm not alone.", the elevator opened and Charles punched Erik. "Charles!", Juliet helped Erik up and Logan sighed. Knowing she had a soft spot for the man even though the worst hadn't happened to him yet. Juliet stood up, "The guards are coming.", she took a deep breath. "Erik, Peter, you two better be ready or so help me god I will give you nightmares.", and Logan sighed, "There's the scary.", she glared at him and for a moment he swore he saw her eyes flash violet. But they couldn't have. They hadn't been taken by Stryker yet. She hadn't been experimented on yet.
