As the sun descends and sky turns inky, everybody gets ready for their first night in the new vacation home, including Cammy who was first to fall asleep.
Taehyung walks past my room while I spread my sleeping bag along the floor, brushing his teeth with his long hair tied up into a chopstick-stabbed bun. He stops and steps backward with furrowed brows upon noticing me.
"...Mei? Why are you on the floor?"
"Cammy's already asleep, I didn't wanna wake her by joining her bed. It's fine, I'll just sleep here until morning."
"On the floor?"
I fluff my pillow with a shrug, "I sleep on the floor at home, remember? I'm used to it. Now go to bed already, try-outs are tomorrow."
"But—"
"Goodnight Taehyung." Ending the discussion, I slip into my sleeping bag and turn my back against him. He stares at me for a moment with his toothbrush in his mouth before rolling his eyes at my stubbornness and walking off.
My last sleep before the tournament... I should make this count.
Gazing at the moon peeking through my sheer curtain, I say a silent prayer and lay my head to rest.

The next morning, my face scrunches up and rolls in my pillow as I awaken, hand pulling the blanket over me and my pointed toes roaming the sheets. I finally prop up with one eye shut before squinting at the room I'm in...
This room is notably bigger than the one from last night. Instead of laying on the floor in my sleeping bag, I'm tucked into a cushiony single bed. The more my vision un-blurs, the sooner I notice Taehyung sleeping on the floor next to me with nothing but a sheet and pillow.
