Everyone heads home after the final school bell to be met with a warm, welcoming sun. Taehyung and Jimin exit the front gates and chat casually before spotting Juri in the distance as usual.
"There's that girl you like." Jimin shakes his shoulder, "You should really talk to her you know."
"I already have."
Jimin furrows his brows and flares his nose in confusion, making Taehyung laugh.
"We met in a convenience store the other day, not far from the marketplace. I think she likes me back."
"And you didn't think to tell me this?! What happened? Did you catch her name?"
"Her name's Juri. We exchanged numbers and spoke on the phone but I didn't get around to asking her out. I got nervous..."
"Oh really...?" Jimin slowly looks across the street, a devious smirk tainting his lips.
"What are y—"
"HEY JURI!"
The short-haired girl quickly turns her head in confusion when Jimin grips Taehyung's shoulders from behind and whispers; "Good luck Bro."
"Wait don't just—! Aaand he left me."
"You called?"
"Yah!" Taehyung flinches when Juri suddenly appears in front of him with both hands encased around the straps of her purple backpack, leading him to scratch his head nervously.
"Uh... Yeah. Yeah that was me. I just wanted to see if... Um... You were free this weekend to do something— OR NOT. You don't have to be free, that's totally cool too... Uh... God, I don't know what I'm saying."
Juri nods along with squinted eyes and pursed lips.
"Is this your way of asking me out?"
"I... think so? Actually yes. YES. I'm asking you out."
Juri laughs, "I'd like that. Actually, I might have some fun activities in mind for us."
"Like what?"
"That's for me to know, and you to find out. Later Tae." Unexpectedly, Juri rests a hand on his shoulder and pecks Taehyung's cheek before smiling sweetly and waving goodbye. Taehyung just blinks with a blank daze, in denial of what just happened.
