Lily Luna Potter Lost In Time

Trying to become friends

As Remus, Sirius, James and Luna went up to the marauders dormitory Luna thought about how weird it would be, giving her grandfather dating advice.

"So?" Potter asked excitedly, "how can I get Lily-flower to go out with me?"

" Well, first of all, you'll have to stop calling her Lily-flower or Evans. Start calling her Lily. "​​​​

Potter frowned, " but she likes being called Lily-flower. Last time I called her that, she even smiled and waved at me! " He said excitedly.

Luna shot him a look. " She was smiling at Alice and Frank who were behind you."

Potter's mood dampened. " Well? What else?"

" Secondly, you have to stop asking her out every chance you get. And thirdly, try and become friends with her first."

" But Evans won't even look at me!" Potter said.

" Well, tomorrow after classes I'll get Lily and you should try to follow the things I've told you and don't pester her. " Luna replied.

" Are you sure it'll work?"

" Positive."

~ The next day ~

The next day after the last class was over Luna, who was with Lily, went up to the Marauders, dragging a hesitant Lily behind her.

"Hello," Remus said as the two girls approached the boys.

" Hi Remus, " Lily said smiling at him politely, then shot Luna a questioning look.

" I just wanted to ask Remus something about the homework. " Luna whispered.

Lily nodded.

The five of them, Lily, Luna, Remus, James and Sirius, walked towards the common room. Luna, Remus and Sirius lagged behind the other two leaving them to talk.

" So, Ev- Lily, " he said quickly covering up his mistake. " Er- How are you?"

" Fine, " Lily replied curtly glancing at Luna, who was pretending to talk to Remus about homework.

The rest of the way James' attempts to talk to Lily were a fail. She either replied curtly or just ignored him and sometimes glanced back.

After some time Lily excused herself from them and went to join her other friends.

Once they reached the Gryffindor common room, Potter slumped down on the couch.

"She didn't even talk to me, " he said, downhearted.

" I think she was a bit awkward as we were just behind them, " Remus said. " Maybe next time we'll go somewhere else. " He suggested.

"Ok... Then tomorrow after class you lot come to us because Lily might find it suspicious if I use the same excuse again. So, once you come the three of us," she said pointing at herself, Remus and Sirius.

" We'll find some excuse and go away and the you try to talk to Lily again. "

Once the plan was set Luna went to set off a dungbomb in Filch's office which was going to be their excuse tomorrow.
