(A/N: This chapter is really, really horrible because I didn't know what to write for the ball. But I promise that I'll update another chapter tomorrow. Which I'm sure will be much more interesting.)
As Halloween approached Luna's roommates became more and more excited for the ball. All of them had dates except Mary, Lily and Luna; they had no intention of going with anyone. Amelia was going with Amos Diggory, Emmeline with some Ravenclaw boy, Alice with Frank Longbottom and Marlene with Sirius.
In the evening the girls went to their room one and half hour before the dance to get ready. Once they were done the girls parted. Amelia, Emmeline, Alice and Marlene went to find their dates, while Lily, Mary and Luna went into the great hall and joined the Marauders. It seemed that out of the four, only Sirius had a date.
The great hall was decorated beautifully. There were pumpkins hanging from the celling and the house tables were removed; only two were kept and were pushed to opposite sides of the hall, making the hall spacious for dancing.
James and Remus went to get drinks for them. Then after a while people started piling into the great hall with their dates. Luna spotted Alice dancing with Frank, they were an adorable couple.
The ball passed peacefully, and the girls enjoyed themselves.
