Lily Luna Potter Lost In Time

Luna and Sirius exchanged mischievous glances as James went down towards the Black Lake..

"Oh no," Remus groaned. "Don't tell me you're going to do something stupid like follow him or something."

"You spoke my mind Moony," Sirius said grinning.

"Come on Remus, it'll be fine." Luna said. "And fun," she added grinning.

"Yeah, quit whining," Sirius added.

The two dragged Remus with them and rushed down the stairs, trying to catch up with James without him noticing. Finally they reached the Lake and his behind a wall. Though they couldn't hear their voices they could tell that James was saying something sensible as Lily wasn't firing spells at him.

"Come on now," Remus said. "It's getting dark, we'd better go down to dinner."

"You're just saying that because you don't want to spy on them," Sirius said rolling his eyes, but agreed anyway.

So, the three - Remus, Sirius and Luna - went to the Great Hall to have dinner.

~With James and Lily~

James found Lily crying her eyes out near the Black Lake. He just sat down beside her, not saying anything for a few minutes, just watching the sun set. Then,

"You know," he said. "It's not true, what your sister said. It wasn't your fault that the Death Eaters killed your parents."

"I don't know, Lily said sniffing, "they might have done it because I'm a muggle-born."

James shook his head, "I'm positive that it's not true."

"Thank you," Lily said quietly.

Then they sat peacefully, in silence, for a while before James talked again.

"Don't you want to have dinner?" James asked. "It's getting darker, dinner must have started."

Lily shook her head. "No, but you can go if you want."

"No, it's fine, I'll stay," he said. "If you don't mind of course," he added hastily.

Lily smiled at him. "Sure, I don't mind. And thanks."

Night fell, the stars and the moon came out and the water sparkled in the moonlight. The two stared at each other and leaned in till their lips were centimeters apart from each other. Their lips were about to touch when...
