Steve stayed with Loki and Thor. He couldn't get over the loss of his loved one, no matter how hard he tried. Everything reminded him of Tony. He was a very quiet man. He suffered a lot in silence- but Loki wouldn't let him do that.

"If you need to cry then you need to cry." He told him. "Don't starve yourself." Loki had started to treat Steve the way that Steve had looked after Tony. He was beginning to love him. He wouldn't ever say that though because frankly- it wasn't romantic love or anything like that. Just platonic. He stroked Steves back.

"Loki." Steve said. Loki shook his head and helped him up.

"Let's go and get food, then we will talk. We'll get a McDonalds or something like that."

"A McDonalds?"  Steve asked, looking at him.

"I'm not rich Steve. McDonalds is a luxury." Loki laughed, which made Steve smile slightly, and, of course, Loki picked up on it. He didn't say anything though. He didn't want it to fade.

They went to the McDonalds and got sat down. Steve didn't know what he wanted, Loki just bought him a cheese burger and a Mcflurry. He picked at the cheese burger and then moved onto eating the Mcflurry.

"I want to help you, Steve. In anyway I can. Whatever you need" Loki said. But he instantly regretted those words, as what Steve said made him sink further into his chair.

"You said anything." Steve told him.

"But... I can't do that. I mean... I did say anything- you're right. Of course I will help you." He bit his lip and went quiet.

"We'll do it tonight." Steve said. Loki nodded and looked away, he couldn't look Steve in the eye right now. "Loki, you won't be in the wrong for doing this. I will make sure that everyone knows that." But, Loki knew that he was going to be in the wrong. He'd be in a lot of trouble over it and with no way out of the consequences.

"It's fine. I'm not worried about myself. Eat up. I need to go and prepare myself." He whispered to Steve before standing up and vanishing into the McDonalds bathroom for an hour.
