It took her a second for her vision to clear, but when it did, the blonde popped up from her place quickly. The sun blinded her vision, but she was sure the feeling would leave soon.. hopefully along with the nausea.
Her eyes scanned her surroundings panickedly, wondering where the hell she was. Emerson didn't do well independently. Well, she could if she knew what she was doing, but she honestly had no idea what she was doing.
Lucky her.
The sound of running water drew her attention from the spiraling birch trees, turning brown with the seasons' change. A sigh escaped her lips when she realized that she definitely had no idea where she was. Or which timeline.
She was screwed.
With a defeated huff, she plopped herself down on a nearby rock, watching the water flow & foolishly waiting for something to happen. Maybe she should follow the stream?
The girl paused her thoughts as she stared up at the darkening sky. Great, just great. The middle of absolutely nowhere in the darkness in the damn woods. If a wolf popped out of nowhere and asked her where she was going she wouldn't even be surprised.
Now.. where was her red cape?
Snorting to herself, the girl debated building some kind of shelter like a cavegirl.. but figured she would be screwed if it didn't work, especially with her limited knowledge in shelter building. Where was Cody Burns when you needed him.
And so the teen got up from her place on the river rock, starting her slow journey down the river. She cringed slightly when she realized that converse, jeans, & a blue t-shirt weren't exactly the right attire for walking around the middle of nowhere.
Pursing her lips as she swung her arms around and skipped forward, she wondered if anyone was looking for her. How long had she been gone anyways?
The girl sighed, running a hand through her hair as she tried to brush it out- slowing her pace when she realized that there was really no need to hurry. She literally had no idea where she was.
Em huffed, looking down at the bracelet she fiddled with on her wrist- a prototype that Jolt had made. Originally it was meant to hide Lynx's signal from the 'cons, since he had no idea how to do that yet, but it had ended up not really working on him.
So, instead of wasting it, he gave it to her as a small charm-looking thing, which she put on the yellow beaded band. She didn't know if it worked, but she wasn't going to just take it off and see.
Her steps slowly started to quicken as the sun continued it's pace down the sky, the girl looking up worriedly at it a few different times. The sun going down wasn't good for her at all.. it meant wild animals, no light to navigate by, and the chill of the night.
As the breeze blew past, she shivered, rubbing at her arms. It had to be at least forty degrees- which felt like seventy with the sun, but now that it was going away- she was screwed. Frostbite became a real possibility with the dozen and a half medical conditions she'd been warned about with the cold.
You see, the girl was a magnet for strange medical anomalies. She was literally allergic to the cold, could lose limbs faster than the average individual, & well- usually felt like a human freezer in the mornings before school, pre-covid.
So the woods, in the night, with no idea how the hell you can make a fire out of sopping wet leaves & damp twigs- she was royally screwed.
A groan escaped her lips as she stared up at the sky. Why, primus, why. How in the world would switching realities ever help them in the future. And how in the pit were they going to get back?
