[TRIGGER WARNING: scene contains attempted mugging & extreme badassery. you've been warned.]

Two days.

That's all it took to get everything back to normal after their disappearance.

Soon enough the girls were walking around like nothing had happened in the first place, well, besides Em- who was still pretty injured. After Hatchet and Red had scanned the absolute heck out of her, they told her that she wasn't allowed to leave the room unless it was to the cafeteria and back.

Yeah, E wasn't very happy about it. And Mikayla was sure she would ignore it if it wasn't for the fact that Jazz agreed.

Mik had no idea what was going on between those two, but either way, she was on her way to pick up the monthly package. Since the last shipment had come during their disappearance, it was in the storage room, all the brunette had to do was grab it.

Usually the walk to the other side of the base and back wasn't so bad, the two girls would crack jokes about anything and everything to pass the time. But this time it was just the girl.

It wasn't too far into the day, only around eleven, as Mik walked along- humming a tune to herself.

It hadn't been very hard to fall back into the groove of things, both girls wanting to clear their memories for a second. Neither of them had gone to visit the prime verse though, they felt it was too soon. They really needed a while to process, and honestly- so did they.

Of course, school was a whole different story. E had no trouble, as always. The brunette was jealous of her memory and abilities that had proved to reveal themselves in the past year, but the blonde was quick to remind her that she herself was more useful.

Energon & the ability to repopulate their species was a whole lot more important than their knowledge and ability to communicate with the well. Mikayla knew that, but didn't admit it, mostly because she felt as if she was the one middle school girl who hadn't started puberty yet.

Yeah, she felt a lot like that.

But that didn't mean that she held resentment towards her friend, she knew that her weird Allspark abilities would prove useful in time. Probably.

Didn't mean that school didn't suck though.

Sending away her thought progression, she found herself in front of the storage room. The door opened with a swipe of her keycard- one she was supposed to carry everywhere with her, but forgot to most of the time.

Walking into the large area, she scanned the most recent shipment, looking for the box with the usual red duct tape. The girl had to jump up to see the shelves that required a ladder for, but it seemed that the package was just evading her sight.

A sigh escaped her lips, and she turned- before spotting it on one of the lower shelves. Smiling, she grabbed the pack and balanced it under one arm, sliding the barcode on her way out.

The base had a weird way of organizing things. They were really strict on who was able to access what. Like the girls, for example. They were allowed literally in every room- at least, that is if they remembered their key cards.

Soldiers fresh out of graduation could access the security room, or places they were supposed to patrol. They weren't allowed to pick up shipments or go into the mission rooms, however.

The keycards in base were like masks in twenty-twenty, you don't have one? You're screwed, you can't get in anywhere. Which is why Mik made hers into a necklace that she wore everywhere.

Handy dandy, and super manageable.

Anyways, she walked out of the room like nothing had happened and that she wasn't carrying the very much-needed supplies for her health and well-being.
