"You're about to see our crown jewel." Banachek began, leading the group into a glass viewing area, where the cube was seen from afar. It honestly took Mikayla's breath away as she stared at it. "Carbon dating puts the Allspark here around 10,000 BC. But it wasn't found until 1913."
"They knew it was alien because of the matching hieroglyphics on the Cube as well as NBE One. President Hoover had the dam built around it."
"Four football fields thick of concrete." Simmons added. "The perfect way to hide its energy from being detected by anyone or any alien species on the outside."
Keller looked at the cube with a dazed expression, "And you didn't think the United States military might need to know that you're keeping a hostile alien robot frozen in the basement?"
"Until these events, we had no credible threat to national security." Banachek continued, looking at the man with a blank expression.
The man rolled his eyes and walked off dramatically. "Well, you got one now."
Banachek sighed and gestured to a room off to the side, "Please step inside. They have to lock us in."
Mikayla walked in cautiously, before recognizing it to be the place where they concentrated the Allspark's radiation.
"Oh, wow." Maggie started, walking in after her. The brunette couldn't help but agree.
"What's that? Freddy Krueger done been up in here or something?" Epps questioned, looking at the wall in confusion.
"Oh, no, man." Glenn chuckled, pointing at the scratch marks in a calm hysteria that she recognized Emerson was in the time that Barricade was chasing them. "Freddy Krueger have four blades, man. That's only three. That's Wolverine!"
When no one else in the room laughed, he started to cough awkwardly, "Right? That's Wolverine!"
Simmons rolled his eyes and stared blankly at the man. "That's very funny."
Glenn pursed his lips slightly and took a step away. Out of the corner of her eye, the girl saw Emerson check her watch worriedly. She sighed, looking at her own as well. They had around seven minutes until they got to the base.
"Anybody have any mechanical devices?" Simmons began, "BlackBerry? Key alarm? Cell phone?"
"I got a phone." Glenn offered, and Mikayla cringed- knowing exactly what was about to happen next.
Simmons looked down at the phone in satisfaction. "Nokias are real nasty."
The man opened up what looked to be some sort of insulated box- one perfect for keeping harmful radiation away from the contact of humans. "You've got to respect the Japanese. They know the way of the samurai."
Maggie paused for a second, looking confused as she put the glasses that they had given her on. "Nokia's from Finland."
Keller nodded, "Yes, but he's, you know, a little strange. He's a little strange."
Simmons, unaware of their side conversation, continued as he pressed the button for the machine to work. "We're able to take the Cube radiation and funnel it into that box."
As soon as he pointed to it, there was a small beam of light, and then the small phone transformed.
Glenn gave out a high pitched shriek as the group watched, only to have the attention drawn to him. Once he noticed the stares on him, he paused. "That wasn't me."
Mikayla sighed, looking down at the little bot with a curious stare.
"Mean little sucker, huh?" Simmons supplied, the now-cybertronian shooting at the box in a sense of fear. She tilted her head, a semblance of curiosity filling her mind.
