Miko supposed that it might have been a bad idea following Optimus through the ground bridge, because dodging around seven or eight insecticons that chased her through the absolutely freezing conditions of the woods wasn't on her bucket list for any period of time.
Her breaths escaped her frantically as the girl's steps pounded against the forest floor, evading the blasts of the insecticons as the sounds of their cries tore through the air.
How did she end up here?
Well, after following behind the Prime through the bridge at the fastest speed she could accomplish, the girl had met a whole bunch of guns aimed at her friends.
Acree and Bulkhead were pinned into a corner, Bee & Smokescreen looked necessarily alright, but they had paused at the sight of their friends being held at gunpoint. Prime had stopped as well, raising his gun in warning as he analyzed the battlefield.
She had hid behind a large rock, before running away to the forest besides them, watching the scene with worry.
Then, Megatron appeared, taunting the autobot leader as he gestured to the mech's team, all within easy reach of being slaughtered at any given time. Miko could practically see the frustration and anger on the leader's face behind the emotionless face.
There were more words said that she couldn't quite make out, and she debated leaning forwards to hear before reason took over her. If she had been caught then, no one would be able to save her aft if she was in trouble.
Speaking of which, the girl ducked under a log as the 'cons tailed her, and she realized that she couldn't keep up her pace for long. A gasp tore through her as she was knocked to the ground, her breath taken from her as she stared up at her offender.
Who was not.. at all what she expected.
A blonde girl, who was very obviously scratched up and bleeding all over the place, now laid on top of her. She was about to yell at her for her stupidity, and that they were gonna get caught- before everything paused.
All Miko heard was the buzzing of the insecticons as they flew around the two. Both held their breaths as the pinkette anticipated her impending death, before something weird happened.
There was silence, before a loud call from one of the group screamed out, the group echoing his call. It almost made Miko's eardrums bleed, but still she didn't move. Not even after they flew off towards the battle field.
At least, she couldn't move, not until the blonde had gotten off of her and gave her a hand up.
She hesitantly took it, giving the blonde an odd expression. "Who are you? How did you know that would work?"
The girl chuckled softly, looking out at the direction that the 'cons had gone. Miko furrowed her brows, glancing between her and the direction of the girl's gaze. Was she waiting for their reinforcements or something?
Finally, she turned to the pinkette, holding out her hand. "Emerson, pleased to make your acquaintance."
The girl shrank back, ew, formalities. "Miko."
Emerson smiled. "Yeah I know. We've met, although it was through a video screen."
That was when the pinkette got very, very confused. At least, until it clicked in her head that she really had seen the girl before. "Oh, you're the girl on the camera that went poof!"
She turned to Miko & slightly deflated at the introduction- but shrugged in response. "Yes, I'm the girl who- you know what that's not important right now. Why are you here?"
