Voices, all she heard were voices. Some muffled, others clear, but there was an urgency to it. Like something bad had happened. Something.. horrible & empty feeling.

Her senses slowly came back, and all she felt was a weight on her consciousness- putting a barrier between herself and her actions. Eyes still closed, she focused her energy on what sounded around her.

"-how to tell.."

"What would.. do in.. position?"

Emerson groggily came to the front of her consciousness as her eyes peeled open, letting out a small groan at the light. Whoever had been talking had stopped, and she felt someone grab her arm softly.

Blinking to adjust her eyes to the light, she turned to find Lennox staring down at her, relieved.

"What-" The girl tried to speak, but her voice was hoarse. She coughed slightly, attempting to sit up- with the help of her friend. "What happened?"

The man grimaced, turning his head to face someone across the room. Her head moved to follow his eye, spotting Epps leaning against the doorway, watching them. She gave him a soft smile, which he returned.

"What do you remember?" Will started, placing a hand on her shoulder.

Emerson shook her head, attempting to recall what had put her in this situation. They were watching a movie- Transformers, ironically enough- and it was going great. Everyone was laughing and they were enjoying it.

Until the screen glitched and everything went wrong.

Her eyes widened as she frantically whipped her head around them. "Where's Mikayla?"

There was a pause in the room as the men glanced between each other, hesitating. Both looked as though that was the last question they wanted to hear.

"Where's Mikayla?" she asked again, worry growing at the pit of her stomach. She knew she wasn't going to be given a good answer, but she still needed to know.

Epps sighed, walking forward as he met the eyes of his friend, arms crossed over his chest.

Swallowing heavily, he pursed his lips. "E, she didn't make it. Mikayla is dead."

The brunette felt slightly sick to her stomach as she pried herself from the ground. Brushing off the dirt & steadying her feet, she looked up- surrounded by woodlands. Her brow furrowed.

"Where the pit am I?" Mikayla whispered to herself, staring at the trees around her. The sky seemed to stretch on for eons, and her body spun around to get a better view of everything. It seemed that the large pine towered over her, and she whistled lowly.

Hearing the crunch of the dirt below her, she walked onwards. Towards what? She had no idea.

Slowly regaining her memories, she grimaced. How did she get from Diego Garcia to middle-of-nowhere-woodlands? And how the hell was she going to contact Lennox to pick her up?

She sighed, this had better not be one of Galloway's plots to get civilians off base. But then again- it did feel like the actions were coming from her mark. Subconsciously looking at the mentioned tattoo, she paused.

Dammit she wished she had Lynx. Or 'Hide. Or better yet, Bee.

She blushed at that last thought. Bumblebee? He was Sam's guardian, why was his name one of the first she thought of?

Oh, Em was so going to have a field day with that one.

Speaking of Em..

Her hand brushed across her pocket, feeling the small square she knew to be her phone. The girl sighed in relief, trying to turn it on. When nothing happened she groaned internally.
