The Risks of Love

Chapter 1

Jessica's POV

I woke up and saw my best friend still asleep. My best friend, Rose is far from a morning person but luckily, I am an early bird because if both of us were night owls and afternoon people, we would have gotten thousands of detentions already. Might have been expelled but who cares?

I prepared breakfast for both of us after a quick shower and woke Rose up. She groaned and stuffed her face with pancakes; with her eyes closed. She was awake when she was finished and left her bed to get ready.

My name is Jessica Scott. I am 21years old and 5'5. Rosalind Taylor; Rose is my best friend. We have been best friends for forever. I have sun-kissed hair with emerald eyes and Rose is a brunette with ocean blue eyes. 

We go to Winter's University in England. I have been living in England for years now and I am from Italy. I've first met Rose in our high school. We've been best friends since then. 

There are dorms in our university but Rose and I decided to rent a house nearby because we didn't want to follow the regulations during our last year in uni. The house is quite cozy and has enough room for both of us. 

"Rose, we are gonna be late! Hurry!" "I am almost done! One sec!"

She yelled back and I waited, tapping my feet on the ground impatiently. The moment she came out of the house, I slammed the door shut and locked it. Rose was grumbling in annoyance while tying the shoes laces.

"I hate school; uni or not. I can't wait to graduate. I don't like waking up early in the morning. UGH!" I chuckled at her and entered the building. As I've mentioned, our house is pretty close and it takes less than 5 minutes for us to arrive at the uni. 

"Trust me, you will miss studying and spending your time in school when you graduate and get a job." "Pft. You sound like you've graduated a decade ago." She rolled her eyes at me and went to her locker to get her stuff while I went to mine to get books and stuff.

Finally, lunch time! FOOOD!

 I was on my way to Rose when I noticed that she was surrounded by 4 guys. Can they really just give her some time to be herself and not suffocate her with their testosterone? 

"Excuse me boys. What are you guys doing to my girlfriend? Can you just go and do your own stuff with your besties and give MY best friend and me some alone time?" They soon left, leaving me and Rose alone.

"You don't have to scare the boys away every time. That is the reason why you don't have a boyfriend J." Rose teased with a small smile. 

"Well, you don't have a boyfriend either." I defended myself and we both chuckled. 

"You know J; you should really get a boyfriend or two. You're already 21!" Rose teased me and I stopped laughing.
