Rose's POV
"Everything will be alright." Everyone patted my back and said encouraging words as I stood behind the gigantic door which led to the room where people were waiting for my coronation. Everyone except Tyler left to enter from the other side of the room and I nervously stood there with Tyler by my side.
"Don't worry. We will be with you throughout the ceremony." Our hands were intertwined and he squeezed it which calmed my nervousness.
I could hear the voice of my dad speaking at the other side of the room to get the ceremony started. And as I realized that the guards were getting ready to get the door open and Tyler leaving me to stand at the back got me nervous again. But after taking a deep breath and remembering the people who were looking up to me, I realized that I can't be a queen while being such a coward, getting scared of the people who were soon to be my responsibility to look after.
So, I held my head high, took another deep breath and walked along the long aisle, everyone's eyes on me as I walked towards the place where my father stood. And that's when I saw the throne behind my dad. I also noticed maids holding a magnificent crown and a scepter on golden trays.
With my long earrings dangling around and the long cloak of mine following the path I was walking on; I felt a new feeling of power surging through my veins. Layla was very excited at the very back of my mind with a powerful aura surrounding her with pride.
Dad smiled proudly as I kneeled infront of the priest who was reciting the oath that I followed after. When I was done, the priest declared the starting of crowning ceremony. I was still kneeling as I felt a heavy crown being laid on the top of my head. I rose from my stance at the instruction and I was given a long, golden scepter with ruby on the top of it, shining beautifully under the sunlight.
I turned around to face the whole crowd of people, who were staring at me with pride and some with displeasure. Looks like I gotta deal with them after the ceremony. I thought to myself as I prepared myself for the oath I've prepared. But then, I was pushed to the very back of my mind as Layla took over.
I was left in the dark as Layla did her job. But I couldn't hear a word she said as I was suppressed by the strong power of Layla. I was kinda thankful she took over and saved both of us from the embarrassing moment of me stuttering during the oath. After a couple of minutes, I tried to take control back. Layla was reluctant to give me back the control but I took over with ease.
And when I did, people broke into enthusiastic cheers and the ones who were looking at me with displeasure, now looked at me with trust and pride swirling in their eyes. I smiled at the sight infront of me and praising Layla who stood on her ground with a huge grin.
I was told to be seated on the throne and my lovely scepter was taken away by the priest as it was now time for me to meet the alphas and important figures who worked at the palace. My smile faded and the whole room fell into pin-drop silence as an arrow was shot towards me.
I caught the arrow which almost pierced through my skull with my bare hands and the room was filled with gasps of people and guards surrounding me for protection. Gunshots were fired towards my direction and with a little wave of my hand, the bullets pierced the wall behind me, leaving me unharmed.
