Standing outside of Klaus's room I knock on Klaus's closed door. After he doesn't answer Luther, who stands behind me knocks on the door harder.
"Give him a minute," I whisper harshly.
"Busy." Klaus calls behind the door.
"We don't have a minute," Luther whispers back, opening the door. "Oh, good. You're up. We need to talk. You, me, Y/N , and the others. So meet me in the living room."
Klaus doesn't answer.
"Like now-ish," Luther says.
"Yeah, that sounds like a real rager, but my schedules already chock-full, so-"
"Yeah, no time for that. The world's ending in three days," Luther says cutting close off before turning and walking away.
Still standing in the doorway I cross my arms over my chest leaning up against the doorway. "He's a bitch isn't he?"
"You think," Klaus snickers.
"But he means well," I say softly. "He's just trying to save the world. He may be trying a little too hard, but he's trying."
Klaus stays silent.
"So are you going to tell me about that someone you lost?" I ask.
"Why do you wanna know?"
"Cause you're like a brother to me, and I care about you," I answer.
Klaus falls silent again.
"I mean, if you don't want to tell me I could just ask Ben, I'm sure he'll be ha-"
"His name was Dave," Klaus says. "We fought in the war and-and he-"Klaus struggles to get the words out as tears well up in his eyes. But I knew what he was saying. Pushing off the doorway I sit next to Klaus resting my hand on his back.
"I loved him," Klaus cries, burying his head in my shoulder.
I hesitate at first but give in resting one hand on his head, keeping the other on his shoulder.
"I miss him,"
"I know, I know," I say rubbing his back.
