“I want to say thank you,” Diego says out of the blue as we walk through the yard of Klaus’s houses, heading towards the backyard.
“For what?” I asked.
“Back at the dinner...when you stood up for me,” Diego answers.
“Yeah,” I say holding up my fist towards him. “We’re team zero, aren’t we?”
Looking over Diego’s eyes fall onto my fist. “Yeah, team zero,” Balling his fist he gives me a fist bump.
“You know,” I say as we continue walking. “Me and Five may seem like assholes...but--wait...is that Klaus.” Staring, I see Klaus and some girl making out on the door, and by the look of it they were about to do more than that.Glancing at each other, me and Diego start to walk quicker towards them.
“Klaus, you’re so filthy!” I hear Klaus goran. Wait...was Ben? Holy shit! Ben was possessing Klaus!
“Yes, you are, Daddy,” The girl says as we get closer and it causes my face to scrunch up in disgusts.
“Hey, Daddy,” Diego interrupts.
“Sorry to ruin the moment, but- hi,” I wave.
“Diego. Y/N,”
“Come on, we gotta go,” Diego says.
“Yeah. I’ll be right back,” Klaus says to the girl. I promise.” Getting up from the ground Diego grabs Klaus by the arm.
“Come on,” Diego says leading Klaus away.
Turning towards the girl I give her a nervous wave. “Sorry, nice meeting you.” Then I turn away and start following close behind Klaus and Diego.
“You need to come with us,” I hear Diego say as I catch up to them.
“Where?” Klaus asks.
“Me and Five found a way home,” I answer, walking beside Klaus.
Klaus looks down and smiles at me. “It’s so great to talk to you two again.” trying to keep his pace with Diego Klaus says yeah out of nowhere.
“Are you high, Klaus?” Diego asks.
“No. I’m not Klaus,”
Gasping I stop in my tracks. “I knew it! You possessed Klaus, didn’t you Ben?”
A huge smile spreads across Klaus’s face and I just imagined that it was Ben smiling. “Yeah.” Stepping forward Ben pulls me into a hug. Wrapping my arms around his torso I hug him back. ”It’s so great to finally hug you.”
“You are high,” Diego rolls his eyes. Leaning forward Diego grabs Klaus arm and pulls him away as he starts walking. “Look, I don’t have time for this.”
“I can prove it,” Ben says. “Ask me something only Ben would know.”
“Okay,” Diego nods. “When we were little, what did you reprogram Allison’s Teddy Ruxpin to say?”
“Luther sniffs Dad's underwear,” Ben sings.
“Holy shit,” Diego chuckles softly as he covers his mouth before quickly pulling Ben into a hug. “I don’t get it, I mean...Klaus said you didn’t make it to Dallas.”
“I said he did,” I state. Crossing my arms over my chest I give Diego a joking look. “Maybe you guys should believe me more often.”
Chuckling Ben pats my head. “Yeah, Klaus says a lot of things. But guess what? I can possess him now and it’s freakin awesome!”
“Okay,” Diego chuckles. “You can tell me all about it on the way back to 2019. Okay” Resting his hand on Ben’s back Diego starts to lead him forward.
“What about Destiny’s Children? We can’t just leave them,” Ben says. “Klaus should be the one to tell them-”
“Oh, no, no,no,no,no, okay? You stay in this body. We need someone responsible behind the wheel, okay?” Diego orders.
“All right, Diego, Y/N. Will you wait? I just need, like, ten minutes. Ten minutes,” Ben begs.
“Actually there’s something I need to do first,” Diego says looking down at his watch. “Y/N you take him to the alley behind Elliot’s, I'll meet back up with you guy’s in 30 minutes, okay?”
“What? No, Diego you better not be going where I think you're going,” I say.
“Sorry but I gotta go,” Diego grabs the sides of Ben’s face. “Good to see you brother.”
“Diego-” But he runs off. So I just stop cause I know I won’t be able to stop him. I sigh loudly. “I gotta go, but be sure to be in the alley, okay?” Stepping forward I pull Ben into another hug.
