"May I ask what that was back there?" Five asks breaking our silence as he keeps his eyes on the road.
"My power outburst? I just had some emotions I needed to let out," I answer.
"What emotions?" Five asks.
"Anger, fear...sadness," I shrug, looking over at him.
"It's because of doomsday wasn't it?" He says looking at me sadly.I nod.
"But don't worry I let them all out back there," I wink.
Five giggles skating his head as we pull into Griddy's doughnuts, as we both get out of the car.
I gasp. "Oh my god you brought me here once, I haven't seen this place in...ages,"
"Neither have I," Five laughs lacing his arm under mine, walking me in.
Five let's go of my arm as we both sit down. Five rings the bell on the counter as some older man walks in. I watch as Five keeps glancing at him.
"Do you have a staring problem or something?" I whisper jokingly in his ear.
"No," Five says sternly as a small smile spreads across his face.
"I'm sorry, sink was clogged," An older lady says walking out of the bathroom quickly. "So, what'll it be?"
The man beside Five says his order.
"Can I get the kid a glass of milk or something?" The lady asks.
I cover my mouth trying to hide my laugh. Five sees kicking me in the leg hard.
"The kid wants coffee. Black," Five say, groaning the last part as I kick him back.
"And for your girlfriend?" The lady asks looking at me.
"Sh-"
"I would like a chocolate doughnut please," I say interrupting Five.
As the last walks away Five leans in close to my ear.
"You wish I was your boyfriend," Five jokes.
"I see you got jokes," I giggled trying to hide the fact that I was blushing.
As the lady walks back I grab Five's hand wrapping it in mine, just to mess with him. Five looks over at me then down at my hand. Rolling his eyes he smiles, looking away. Still holding my hand.
"I got them," The man beside us says handing the women money.
"Thanks," Me and Five both say.
"You must know your way around the city," Five says to the man, still holding my hand.
"I hope so," The man says. "I've been doing it for 20 years."
"Good. I need an address," Five says.
Five tells the man what place he's looking for. But my mind wanders off as I take a small bite off my doughnut. Setting it down I watch as the man hands Five a piece of paper, before walking out.
I hear someone walk through the door again, but I don't look and continue eating. Five sits down his coffee slowly, as he squeezes my hand harder."I thought I'd have more time before they found me," Five says looking at my hand. I could tell he wasn't talking to me.
Still holding Five's hand I look to see four men pointing guns at us. They were from the commission.
"Look sir, just turn around and leave, and you'll all live to see another day," I warn.
"You think I want to shoot you kids? Go home with that on my conscience?" One of the men says.
"Well," Five sighs, letting go of my hand slowly. "I wouldn't worry about that. You won't be going home."
Grabbing a knife beside him, Five warps behind the man stabbing him in the neck. Seeing one of the other three men heading towards Five I climbed onto the counter, jumping onto the man's back wrapping my arms around his neck. The man grabs the back of my uniform jacket throwing me over his head, and onto the floor before quickly grabbing my neck lifting me off the ground. Kicking off the wall me and him both fall into the counter but the man catch's his balance slamming me into the wall harder.
I tried to use my mind to throw him off me but I couldn't barely breathe let alone think.
"Five," I choke gripping onto the man's wrist, as everything begins to go blurry.
