“Handle it?” Allison says sarcastically. “Last time you handled it, you definitely blew up the moon.” But Vanya doesn’t listen and continues to get ready to smack the fork against the cup.

“No, Vanya, don’t!” Five says loudly.

“No, no, no, Vanya!” I say shaking my hands just as she hits the fork against the cup which causes the fruit in the middle of the table to explode. Throwing my hands in front of my face I turn in my chair as the fruit flies onto me and the others.

“This is my favorite shirt. Wow,” Klaus says sadly.

Sitting back normally in my chair I fix my jacket before wiping off all the fruit on my jacket and dress.

“That was impressive,” Luther says.

“Look, we know that you’re involved in a plot to assassinate the president,” Diego says.

Glancing at each other, me and Five both roll our eyes before looking back at Diego.

“Diego,” I whisper sternly. “Stop...please.”

“You were recently hospitalized, isn’t that correct?” Diego openes his mouth to say something. “You still appear to be suffering from delusions of grandeur and acute paranoia.”

“Am I?” Diego says, digging in his pockets Diego pulls out a picture handing it to Reginald. Which I was pretty sure was the picture of Reginald on the grassy knoll. “Explain this...That’s you. That’s two days from now on the grassy knoll at the exact spot the president’s gonna get shot.”

Picking up the picture Reginald looks at it. “well...I suppose you’ve solved it. “ He says handing the picture back to Diego. “You’ve single- handedly unearthed my nefarious plot.” That makes Diego smile. “Is that what you want to hear?” Then Diego's smile fades. “You fancy yourself a do-gooder? The last good man who will save us from our descent into corruption and conspiracy? This is a fantastic delusion. The sad reality is that you’re a desperate man,” Diego starts to sink down into his seat, it looks like he’s about to cry. “ tragically unaware of his own insign-”

“Leave him alone,” I say, planting my hands on the table as I stand up.

“You were hospitalized  as well, weren’t you?” Reginald asks.

“I was,” I shrug. “What? You gonna tell me everything wrong with me...bring down my ego?”

“Y/N,” Five says softly as he rests his hand on top of mine. Looking down at him, he gestures his eyes towards my chair. Sighing I do as he says and I sit back in my chair crossing my arms over my chest. “Look, enough about the president. We have a catastrophic war coming in five days. We need to figure out how to stop it.”

“War?” Reginald asks. “Men will always be at war with each other.”

“No, this isn’t just some war. I’m talking about a doomsday,” Five says.
