Walking up the steps to the second floor of Elliot’s shop I see that Five is sitting on the couch. He sits with his elbow’s resting on his knees as he stares down at the floor, thinking. Walking the rests of the way upstairs I stop a couple feet beside him.

“You okay?”

He doesn't answer and just nods as he still stares down at the floor. Pressing my lips together I sit down beside him. Resting my elbows on my knees I interlace my fingers together, and we just sit there silently not saying anything to each other. I open my mouth to say something but can’t find the words. I know to him it hasn’t been that long since we talked, but to me it has been months.

“I had to make a deal with the Handler,” Five says, breaking the silence as he still looks at the ground not wanting to meet my eyes. “She wants me to kill the commision in exchange for a briefcase. I told her I would think about it.”

Looking back at my interlaced hands I try to think of what to say.

“I know we both don’t like her, and she’s not the best person to trust. But if Dad doesn’t give us any answers it might be our only option,” He continues, still not wanting to meet my eyes.

Letting out a sad sigh I separate my fingers looking over at Five. He is still looking at the ground, his fingers are interlaced together just like mine had been a couple seconds ago. I can feel how fearful and sad he was, like that feeling as if someone was watching you.

Lifting up my hand I slowly rest it on top of Five’s before separating his hands and interlacing my hand with one of his. “Whatever gets us out of here,” I say, planting a kiss on his shoulder before resting my forehead on that spot, a couple seconds later I feel Five plant a kiss on my head.

“I’m sorry I was-”

“No,” I say, lifting my head to meet his eyes. “Don’t. Don’t say you're sorry. We all got separated, that wasn’t your fault.”

"But-"

"But nothing. You saved me, and you saved your family. There just too...too dumb to realize that," I say.

Giving me a sad smile Five leans forward resting his forehead on mine, and then we just sit there.
