“Vanya’s in the room at the end of the hall,” Diego points out as his body is still shielding mine slightly. I can barely hear him over the noise and the fact that I was covering my eyes trying to silence the noise.

“But how are we supposed to get to her?” I shout over the noise, still covering my ears with the palm of my hands.

“I haven’t figured that one out yet,” Diego answers.

“You can count me out,” Klaus says.

“Klaus.”

“What? You guys should save her. You’re great at all the hero shit,” Klaus says.

“Oh, Klaus!”

“Listen, listen. Vanya would understand cause she has realistic expectations of what I am. And what I am is sexy trash,” Kluas continues.

“Fuck it, I’ll do it,” I say getting ready to stand up put Diego keeps me from doing that.

“You’re a big pussy, that’s what you are,” Diego argues.

“Guys, now is not the time,” Allison groans.

“Why? Because I don’t wanna die? Who does?” Klaus asks. “And martyrs aren’t around to enjoy the victory party cause they’re dead!”

Lunging forward Diego grabs Klaus by the neck of his shirt. “You are going out there...”

“I’m not! Go away!”

“...or I’m gonna beat you, and not the way you like it,”

Glancing at each other, me and Allison both roll our eyes. “That’s our cue.” Both me and Allison both jump out from behind the counter and begin to crawl before Diego can have the chance to stop us.

“Allison! Y/N!”

I keep down on my hands and knees as I crawl to make sure I didn’t lose my balance if I got to my feet. But Allison takes the chance and gets into a kneeling position.

“Vanya!”Allison yells. “Vanya!” Taking another step forward Allison gets into a standing position and begins walking towards the door. But an explosion of light blast her back. Forming a dagger in my hand I slam it down into the floor before the wind can blow me back as I roll onto my side and try to grab Allison to stop her from smacking into the counter, but I miss her by an inch and her back slams hard into the counter. Groaning I roll onto my stomach and form another dagger in my hand. Slamming one down into the floor I pull myself forward before slamming the other down and taking the other one out.

“Y/N!” Glancing back I see that Diego is doing the same with his metal daggers. Taking one out he slams it a couple inches in front of the other and pulls himself forward. “Y/N!” Letting go of one of his daggers Diego reaches out his hand towards me. Still lying on my stomach I try my best to reach back and grab Diego’s hand, but I can only graze the tip of his fingers with mine. “Klaus! We’re not gonna make it! It’s up to you, buddy! You gotta save the world!”

“No, Diego, that’s a terrible idea!” Klaus argues.

Putting one dagger in front of the other Diego pulls himself closer to me. “Make sure one of you gets through that door.” Turning away Diego pulls himself over to the fire hose, reaching out he pulls something on it causing the hose to unravel and Diego to slide into the counter.

“It’s just me and you Klaus!” I shout.

“Why can’t you do it!” Klaus whines.

“Because I'm not gonna be able to do it alone! It’s going to have to be a team effort!” I shout, looking back I wait for Klaus to pop up from behind the counter, but he doesn’t. “Come on Klaus, I need you!”

Finally popping out from behind the counter Klaus grabs ahold of the hose Diego unraveled for him and slowly pulls himself forward one step at a time. Still lying on my stomach with both my hands grasping dagger’s I stabbed into the floor. I just watched as Klaus struggled to pull himself forward. Unfroming one of the daggers in my hand I held it out in front of me so that my palm was facing the hose, using my mind I started to slowly spin the holder so that it would pull the hose and Klaus forward. Getting close enough Klaus lunges forward and grabs ahold of the door knob just as the last bit of energy I have disappears and my body falls limp, which causes my whole body to slide back and slam into the counter causing me to fall unconscious.

*******

Groaning I roll onto my side and try to get up but a throbbing pain goes through my head and causes me to slouch back onto the ground and grab the side of my head in pain. Hearing panting beide me I look over to see that Allison, Klaus, and Diego are trying to get to their feet as well.

“Are you okay?” A voice asks.

Looking up I see Vanya rushing towards us. “Vanya.” Still holding the side of my head with one hand I put the other behind my back as I slow sit up.

“Physically or emotionally?” Klaus whimpers.

“You're alive,” Diego says, astonished as he sits on his knees.

“Did we save the world or what?” Klaus asks.

“I think so,” Allison answers. “Building’s still here.”

Hearing a clicking sound I look over to see Diego looking down at his watch. “Kennedy’s a few minutes away. I can still save him.” Getting off his knees Diego gets to his feet.

“No, Diego. Wait!” Allison says, getting to her feet to chase after Diego.

Groaning, I roll onto my knees before pushing myself to my feet. Turning towards Klaus I hold out my hand for him to take, looking at it he hesitates for a moment before slipping his hand into mine before I pull him to his feet.

“Hey...you got a little-” Pointing at his face he motions to his nose and ears. Giving him a confused look I lifted up the sleeve of my arm to my nose. wiping it. Pulling it away I find that it is stained in spots of blood. Pulling up the sleeve more I wipe both sides of my ears before dropping my hand back at my side.

Turning my head to look at Vanya I see that she is still standing in front of us. Walking over to her I rested a hand on her back. “It’s good to see that you're okay.” I say patting her back softly before pulling her into a short hug before following behind where Allison and Diego had headed off to.

“Kennedy’s turning,” Allison says as I walk up beside her to look out the window that overlooked most of the small town. Out of the corner of my vision I see two figures walk up beside me glancing over. I see that Klaus and Vanya had joined us. “It’s happening again.” Shooting my gaze back out the window I look to see Diego running in the distance towards some man. He tackles him, but is too late. The gun shots had already came, and Kennedy was already dead.

“Damn,” I breathe out slowly.
