Walking around the side of the house and to the front yard me and Diego see that Lila has already regrouped with Five. Not saying anything me and Diego regroup as well, watching as Reginald gets into his car and drives away.
“You know, I’m starting to get the feeling Dad’s avoiding us,” Five says, breaking our silence.
“Hate to be the boring one, guys, but, uh, it’s time we get the hell out of here,” Lila suggests as she walks forward.
“When you say ‘we,’ who exactly are you referring to?” Five asks, stepping towards her.
“Not a lot of ambiguity in that sentence,” She says.
“Listen, I don’t know who you are or where you came from, but whatever it is, I’d advise you return posthaste,” Five warns.
“She’s right Five, we gotta get outta here,” Diego agrees.
“I just saved your life, you kinder-shit,” Lila spats. “If I hadn’t stepped in, all that would be left of you is a blazer and some bloody socks...same with her.”
“We had it under control,” I say crossing my arms over my chest. “Besides, your fighting…” I shake my head. “I don't trust you.”
“Yeah, and that’s the problem ,” Five adds. “You’re too good. You ask too many questions. You know too much. And you fight like you know what you’re doing.”
“They’ve got a point,” Diego agrees.
“So I know how to handle myself, and that makes me the bad guy?” Lila asks.
“Whoever you are, you’re in my way. If I see you again, I will kill you,” Five warns before looking back at me. Understanding his look, me and Five both walk past Lila and towards the way we had come earlier.
