~Present~
"Ow," I yelp as Five tries to stitch my gunshot wound.
"Sorry," Five says through his teeth.
"It's fine," I say softly.
We both fall silent.
Looking down at Five I watch as his eyes focus on my wound as he stitches it up. Looking down at him I remember how much I loved him, and how much I missed him.
"I'm sorry about Delores," I blurt.
"It doesn't matter," He says.
"I thought-"
Sitting up straight Five grabs the side of my face. "You're more important."
Resting my hand on his, Five rubs my cheek with his thumb. God how I wanted to kiss him.
Just mad I was closing my eyes Five clears his throat, moving his hand off my face.
Taking off his uniform jacket Five stands up taking off his vest and tie before unbuttoning his shirt.
"Woah," I say, covering my eyes with one hand before spreading my ring and middle finger apart, peeking through them. "I'm waiting till marriage."
Five chuckles shaking his head, before sitting down on the bed beside me grabbing the needle and thread. Putting the thread through the needle Five lifts it up to his right arm, where a cut lies on the side of his arm.
"Here," I say, grabbing them out of his hand. "Let me do it."
Five doesn't argue and just relaxes his shoulders. Grabbing his arm I lean closer slowly stitching him up. He groans, and clenches his teeth here and there but doesn't say anything.
"All done," I smile holding my hand up making a band-aid float out of it's box on Five's desk, and over to me. Grabbing it out of the air I open it sticking it over Five's cut.
"Thanks, you stitch better than me," Five smiles, getting up.
"Steady hands I guess," I joke, holding my hands as I get up as well.
Walking over to Five's desk I take off my uniform jacket as Five stays by his bed putting his shirt, and stuff back on.
"Don't look I'm changing," I joke, in a fake shy tone.
Having short's on I take off my dress, looking back at Five he is buttoning his shirt. (Don't mean this is a sexual way)Taking my shirt off over my head I throw on the other one quickly buttoning it up. Grabbing the other dress off the desk I throw it on before grabbing my tie.
"Can you put this on for me?" I ask turning towards Five.
"You still don't know how?" Five laughs grabbing the tie out of my hand.
"I practiced in the apocalypse, but could never get it right," I answered.
Throwing the tie behind my neck Five tucks it under the flaps of the neck of my shirt.
"Here," Five says, softly grabbing both my hands, lifting them up to my tie, guiding them through how to tie.
"Thank you," I say tucking the tie under my dress. "Maybe after we save the world I can teach you how to braid hair."
"Why would I need to know how to do that?" Five laughs grabbing his jacket behind him throwing it on.
"Why to braid your future girlfriends hair of course," Just as the words pass my mouth I gasp, covering my mouth. "I didn't-"
"You're fine," Five smiles opening his bedroom window. "But I'm gonna need you to stay here."
"What? Why?" I ask, throwing on my jacket.
"You're hurt badly, you need to rest," Five answers.
"I don't need to rest, I'm perfectly-" Before I can finish my sentence another sharp pain goes through my side as I step forward making me fall forward.
Five warps in front of me, grabbing both sides of my waist as I grab the shoulders of his jacket.
"Five I swear I'm fine I can ju-"
"Just stay here all I'm doing is watching the guy," Five says.
I sigh. "Okay."
Five smiles rubbing my arm up and down before kissing my forehead. "Thank you."
Turning away Five walks towards the window.
"Five?" I blurt.
Climbing outside Five turns back towards me, peeking his head through the window. "Yeah?"
"I...goodluck," I say.
A disappointed look washes over Five's face, but he just nods before walking down the fire escape.
