When I landed, I realized just how long I'd been gone and how everything had changed— drastically. I wasn't the same person that I was when I'd left here and I was completely okay with that. I didn't have any bags. Just my purse and my body. Getting off the plane, I stepped into the warm night of LA and I got into the black car that awaited me.

The man looked back and genuinely asked. "Still going to the hospital Mrs. Rowland?"

Chuckling softly, I didn't even attempt to correct the man. "Yes. I'm still going to the hospital."

Getting my phone out, I put the partition up before FaceTiming Kelly. She answered rather quickly and I noticed she was in her dressing room.

I smiled and called out. "Not Mrs. Rowland."

She immediately laughed and I admired her as she did. "He actually called you that? I love it. I didn't think he'd actually do it."

"Oh so you plotted this out?"

"Yeah I did." She nodded. "Plus you'll be my wife soon enough so get used to hearing that."

"Hearing it out loud was really golden too."

I watched her as she smiled before getting up. I heard her close her door before finally coming back in the frame. She sat down and looked at me. "Are you okay?"

"Yes. I'm okay."

"You sure?"

"I'm sure honey." I called back out knowing she was worried.

"If you need me to come out there I can. I'm sorry I couldn't come with you today."

"It's fine. There's no need for you to apologize. You work. I'll go to the hospital and I'll keep you updated."

"No shutting down?"

"No baby. No shutting down."

"Okay. Promise."

Smiling softly, I was quick to assure. "I promise. I'll call you if at any moment I'm not okay. If I need you to come I'll call but there's no need to worry. I promise you."

I knew she knew I was telling the truth when she smiled back. Someone knocked on her door. "Miss Rowland? It's time to go."

She looked back at the camera and frowned. "I have to go baby but I'll check in with you as soon as I get a break."

"Okay. Go out there. Judge nice and have fun. I love you."

"I love you more." She blew me a kiss and I blew one back before she hung up. I put my phone in my pocket and noticed we'd made it to the hospital.
