Issa Queen birthday countdown. Let's goooo.

Janet

"Sarah... look, I'm already here. It's already done." The woman mumbled into the phone.

"How many times are you gonna pop up on this woman and get your feelings hurt, Ky? She's not in the space to have a healthy conversation with you right now."

"I have to try Sarah. We both said things we knew we'd regret. I just..." Kyrin found herself pausing before finishing her statement. "I have to fix this."

"I get that you want to, but the timing is off. Listen, just call me back later. Okay? I just can't help but feel like this is going to go horribly wrong like it did the last time. I'm all for you getting your marriage back on track but I need you to be a little bit more mindful of your mental health as well sis. She's shut down right now. You can't keep trying to—."

"Yes I can, Sarah. She wouldn't give up on me, shut down or not. She wouldn't just let me be. She'd cross worlds just to get to mines and I'm going to do the same."

Sarah sighed at her best friend before mumbling. "Okay. I support you. I stand behind you. So just let me know how it goes, okay? I love you."

"I love you too and I will."

Sarah hung the phone up, leaving Kyrin to continue to sit in the lobby waiting. Joey had relayed that he and Janet were on their way to the studio because Janet wanted to record something. So Kyrin came over to the studio to meet them there. She couldn't help it as she sat in the chair with her fingers clasped together and her leg shaking. She was nervous. It wasn't that Sarah had gotten into my head... it was the fact that Sarah was telling the truth. More than likely... the woman was about to get her feelings hurt. Probably more than the last two times she'd popped up on her wife, which did nothing but add more insult to injury.

Minutes passed before she saw the truck pull up outside. Knowingly, she didn't even have enough courage to stand... but she needed to get some and quickly because Joey told her that it was now or never. Getting up, she walked outside as Joey got out the truck. The two had made a plan that Kyrin would talk to Janet in the truck so she followed through and opened the back door, getting in.

Janet looked at her wife before looking the other way with an eye roll. She was frustrated to say the least and she wasn't in the mood. "What is this? Why're you here?"

Her tone was iced and chilled to the touch but it had been that way since that dreadful day that the couple argued. Still then, she'd at least spare her wife a glance but here lately Janet was acting like Kyrin was the worst person on the planet.

"I'm here so we can talk J."

"I don't want to talk."

"J, I really don't want to leave us like this. Not in this bad space that we're in. Can we please just—."

"Kyrin! I said no! What don't you get?! Can you not understand simple words?!" She finally looked at the woman but the look was full of frustration, anger and... hatred. The singer seemed drained. Her eyes were darkened, she hadn't been sleeping. She appeared a bit pale, she hadn't been outside much. The shirt she wore used to fit her more but now it was falling loosely, she hadn't been eating.

"Look, you can yell and scream. You can say mean things and take out your frustrations on me. I'll take that. I'm your wife. I can handle that but I can't handle us just not talking at all. I miss you." Janet said nothing in response and it caused Kyrin to call out softly. "Baby... please?"
