*flashback chapter

"f—father wait!" Kun quickly pushes his brother out of the way, feeling the impact of the object.

Renjun began sobbing as he quickly pulls Kun up, holding him close.

"Let go of him this instant!"

Their father grabs the youngest by the wrist, yanking him away. The boy instantly lost hold of his older brother.

"Let go of him!" Kun winces in pain as he holds his shoulder. Renjun began to thrash around in his fathers grip, trying to break free.

"Stop moving, you brat! You'll make this harder than it's supposed to be! Stop moving!"

"p—please...let go of m—"

The house fell silent.

"What did you do!?" The oldest pushes his mother away, pushing his father back with all the might he had left.

"Renjun..."

He kneels, quickly pulling his brother close.

Renjun was knocked out.

Kun looks at his parents in disgust, absolute anger filling every corner of his body.

Suddenly, his cheek was met with his fathers hand.

"Don't ever and I mean ever, push me nor put your hands on your mother!"

"Don't put your hands on Renjun ever again and we won't have a problem."

"Ohhh suddenly you're brave now?"

His father let out a chuckle as he harshly grips the boys chin. Kun was thrown to the side, his wing getting caught in a crack on the floor. It ripped.

He let out a small sob, spending a few seconds trying to pry it out of the floor.

"Kun.." there was a quiet voice from afar calling out. It was his other younger brother.

"What..?"

"s—stop!"

The boy began to bleed even more.

"m—mother stop."

"Oh honey, we're just getting—"

"Finished!"

In a blink of an eye, his mom was tackled to the ground, her wing getting completely torn off.

"Oh shit—"

"Gege!" Renjun began to slowly make his way to the boy, dragging himself across the floor.

"Be careful jun.."

Renjun gently nods as he sniffles, pushing himself closer and closer until he stops.

"Ge, my ba—"

Kun sat there, completely speechless as Renjun began to sob.

"Kun ge! Do something!"

The boy pushes himself closer to the other boy, who lays across the floor.
