"Imp!" Looking up from my desk, I saw Lucifer standing there with his arms outstretched and a big grin on his face. "Oh, come now, don't look so surprised to see me. It's only been two weeks."
Slowly getting up, I walked up to Lucifer as he was still grinning.
"Where have you been-"
"Oh, wait, before you get to the questions, I've got big news!" Lucifer held up his hand to stop me, and his attitude is what set me off. "Bloody Hell!" He groaned after I punched him in the gut and doubled over while holding his stomach and his knee to keep from falling.
"Misha!" Chloe rushed over, but I was already turning and going back to my desk. "Lucifer? Oh, I thought you punched someone random."
"What the Hell was that for?" Lucifer shot me a look, and I put my elbow on my desk and my head in my palm so that I didn't have to look at him.
"Lucifer? Lucifer?" I heard a woman call out along with the clacking of heels.
"Candy, darling, I told you to wait in the car."
"But it's so stuffy in there."
"But it's a convertible."
"Plus I wanted to show your police friends just how generous my honey is. He paid that sketchy diamond guy a ginormous pile of cash for it." I glanced back to see a knock-out blonde in a tight pink dress showing off a large wedding ring.
Getting back up from my desk again, I walked off.
"Wait, Imp? Where are you going?" Lucifer questioned, and I simply replied by raising my hand and flipping him the bird.

"Will you say something? You're really creeping me out with the silence and the Children of the Corn glare." Lucifer waved his finger at my face as I took a sip from my coffee.
"You must be Misha. I've heard about you from Lucifer. I'm Candy." The happy blonde held her hand out to me with a friendly smile.
"Pleasure to meet you." I shook her hand, and Lucifer looked offended.
"You greet a stranger, but not me?"
"Oh, I don't know, Lucifer. You ever think it might be because you left without saying a damn thing for two weeks right after I nearly died?"
"Why don't you put the hot coffee down while you yell at me, hm?" Lucifer took a step back as if I'd throw my drink at him.
"You really think I'd waste my drink on you?" I popped off before taking another sip, and Lucifer looked offended again.
"I dare say-"
"Candy, was it? Do you run? You look like you could give a nasty kick." I said the last bit while pointedly looking at Lucifer.
"Oh, no. I'm an exotic dancer." She chuckled. "The work really tones your calves." Candy smiled while showing off her legs.
"Oh, so now you'll make conversation with her and not me? What's the cold shoulder for, Imp? And the punch?"
"Lucifer, do you not remember what happened last time you ditched Misha?" Chloe waved her hand. "You basically did it again. For two weeks. And to all of us."
"Might also be the desk duty." Dan popped off.
"Desk duty?"
"Still haven't been cleared by my doctor to return to regular work duties."
